When do parking lots open?

I've heard some people complain about the long lines waiting to park in the WDW lots. If you arrive early from offsite do you miss the traffic? When is a good time to arrive?

I've heard some people complain about the long lines waiting to park in the WDW lots. If you arrive early from offsite do you miss the traffic? When is a good time to arrive?

I am not 100% about this but, I thought it opened 1 hour or more before the park opens.

I got to AK this month 30 minutes before park open and the parking lot was open and many cars were already in the lot.
