When do Park Hours changes happen?

Going in mid October (2 weeks away from the 60 day FP+ Mark) and the changes in park hours I was expecting haven't happened yet. I would assume AK would be open past 7:30 with everything going on there and HS is still showing closing at 7:30 (only 1 Fantasmic at 7:30?).

Any idea when Disney tends to make the park hour changes or are they still waiting to see the impact of the newer attractions?

They can make changes up to and on the day of operation. However, the calendar that they publish approximately 30 days out is probably the best you're going to get when it comes to a "final" calendar.

Disney has been really bad about updating park hours the last couple of months. They have been doing it about a month out, which really makes it hard to plan.

I wouldn't assume that. For one thing, it gets dark earlier so they don't have to stay open as late for fireworks and evening shows.

For our August 16th trip.. They just updated hours exactly a month before. Like a PP mentioned this seems to be the norm as of late. They did this last summer to us too.
Super tough to plan!

I have had the hours change on us while we were in the park. Always to stay open later of course so it never messed with my plans

Right now Fantasmic is scheduled for 7:30 on 10/1, I'm guessing 8:00 because it's been running 30 minutes after Fantasmic. Unless they move both later. Sunset is 7:11 on 10/1.

ADRs are done. Fastpasses open in a few weeks.
Have an ADR at the 50's diner at 6:30. Trying to fit in Fantasmic but it will only work if they add a 2nd show.

Is there an easy way to find out park hour changes? Like an alert or email etc. I have Touring plans if that helps, but I'm still learning it and probably am not using all the features.

Yes, lately they've been extending hours about mid-month, the month before so I'd look toward mid Sept for October dates.

I can't remember if TP sends an email if hours change though I want to say yes. I know WDW Prep School does.

I just long for the time that I don't have to check EVERYDAY to see if the EMM dates have updated/AK hours extended/SW fireworks scheduled/ROL announced...
