Short of looking every single day, is there a way to find out when airlines will release future travel dates? Like a site that posts that info or e-mails you can get? The few I want to check with haven't released their Nov. or Dec. dates yet. It's driving me mad. I know w/ discount carriers it's best to book right away when the dates are available and with other airlines, it's best to wait, but it's a few discount lines I'm looking at right now. (NOT Spirit) I'm so disenchanted w/ flying these days as it is, I've only been happy lately w/ those carriers. And it's not because of price, the've just been nicer to me in my personal experiences. Jet Blue used to fly out of my airport but don't anymore. I liked them a lot. :( If traveling by car wouldn't add 4 days onto our vacation, we'd do it. Flying stinks now.

On Southwest.com on the top right it says Travel Tools. Click on that and select View All Travel Tools. You'll then see when the next set of dates will open up, which in this case is May 19, for travel dates through Jan 4. I would imagine there's something similar on other airlines' websites.

Neat! thanks!

United, American, US Airways, Delta, and Alaska release their flights 330 to 331 days in advance.

Many international carriers release their flights around 355 days in advance.

Yeah, it's the other ones I'm wondering about. Biggest airlines that cater to more business traveler than casual travelers already have them out through the end of the year. Smaller ones like SunCountry, Southwest and Frontier for example, don't yet.

My preferred airline is American, as it's the ONLY one that flies from my local airport! American also had the best price for my travel dates in December, so I bought my ticket last night.
