When do Florida schools break for summer?

I think I read somewhere that most Florida and other southern states are finished with school in mid to late May.

I don't know about Florida schools, but we've been the 1st week of June twice and it was nice. The weather was bearable and so were the crowds. BTW Gay weekend is usually the 1st weekend in June. We left on the Thursday, so I can't tell you much about it.
