I will be buying directly from Disney next April and I am wondering how quickly I will be able to purchase a discounted Annual Pass? I will be making the DVC purchase in person and I would love to be able to purchase the annual pass soon after and hopefully go to the parks while we are down there as well.

If you are buying direct in person, the QA that walks you through document signing will help you to download your first member card digitally. With this and your photo I.D., you will be privy to any current DVC member discounts active at that time. You would need to go to a Guest Relations or perhaps your WDW hotel concierge to purchase I believe.

I cannot recall what time frame the discount is available each year......

Ask your sales guide to help you with the AP purchase. I'm just guessing, but since you can book almost immediately after signing the purchase documents & making your down payment, he/she can most likely make the DVC AP purchase happen for you quickly as well.

Miss CarolMN is certainly correct that your sales guide can help you with your first booking as a member, even right at your closing. :cutie: But I know of no way that they could help you purchase the annual pass other than to ensure you do not leave without your digital member cards. Annual passes must be purchase from a ticketing agent to my knowledge. I know at least in the pass, sometimes members would call MS to purchase annual passes with their discounts and get some sort of voucher?? But I have not heard of that in a few years...

If you wait until you get there to buy your DVC and APs, you will not be able to get Fastpass at 60 days. And at that close, you may not be able to get any, and least not the high demand rides. See if you can get you CM to load you up with 'special' FPs or buy your DVC and APs a few months early.

Good point made here. :cutie:

??? Though there are special guest service FP's that can be given in case of a guest problem, regardless of the FP type, a CM's name is attached showing they gave those FP's. I don't think a CM could "load up special FP".........

They could buy a regular ticket and then bridge it to an annual pass before the ticket expires, and after the DVC purchase.
