DD is 4.5 yo....in Nov we're going to Disney for her 2nd trip (she'll be 5) and she really really wants to ride Space Mountain (and Everest). She had no problem with any of the other rides she rode last year (all the 40" rides), but she's not yet tall enough. Right now, at 4.5 shes 41 3/4" tall....no shoes. I'm hoping she'll be tall enough when we go, but not sure. What age were your kids when they reached 44"?

My son (who is tall for his age) was 44" just before his 4th birthday. Everyone mistakes him for being older, though. :wave2:

My daughter who turned 6 in January hit 44" somewhere between this past summer and now. I would say she is average height for her kindergarten class. She's not the tallest and not the shortest.

DS(3 1/2) is currently 43", guessing he will be 44" this summer. And DD(6) is 48 1/2", so if I remember correctly she was 44" when she was 4 1/2.

Wow you all have tall kids. My oldest who is almost 8 is only 46 inches. She hit 44 inches last year at age 7. My son who just turned 5 is 40 and 3/4 inches. We are so excited that he is going to be tall enough for Splash Mountain this year for the first time. Dd got to ride Space Mountain last year for the first time. My problem is that she wants to do RNRRC this year and I know she's not going to make it.

DS is 4Y6mo and is exactly 43.25" in his bare feet. I feel fairly safe that he'll hit the magic 44" before August...

Wow we are shrimps here I guess... My DS(3 in Oct.) is 38 inches right now. My dd was taller at this age she was 40 and then grew 5 inches that year!

My daughter was 5 and 8 months old in Dec when we went and she was tall enough

My 7 1/2yr old is 46" He is in the low middle group in his class. when he was 5 1/2 he was 41''. We sweated out mission space cause he really wanted to go on and I was worried because it seemed leading up to going he kept staying at a hair under 40, luckily grew at the last moment.

My DD turnes 5 next month and hit 44'' about 2 wks ago.

In Jan she was 43.5" and has grown about an inch since then, she's in the middle of a spurt.

All kids are just different in how they grow. I feel like I will her to be tall enough or old enough for stuff, but then I look at her and want to cry at how fast she is growing up.

Good luck & have fun on your trip!

My younger daughter hit 44inches at 5 and hit the big 48 inches at 6.5yrs old. This was a biggie...RNRRC and the Slush and gusher at Typhoon Lagoon. My kids are very tall...my DD(9) is 59 inches tall!!! She is 2inches shorter than me and wears a size 7.5 women's shoe.

DS5 was 44" at 3, but he is exteremly tall for his age, about the size of the typical 2nd grader. DS2 probably won't be 44" for a long time yet, he's about the size of a typical 15 month old--very tiny for his age.

My oldest daughter just turned 6 and she is 42". My youngest daughter is 41/2 years old and she is just about 41 inches.

DD was 44 inches when she turned 5. She is now 5 1/2 and almost 46 inches. She's been growin' like a weed!! DS is almost 4 and is 38.5 inches. We're still waiting for him to grow.

My 4.5 yr old DD is only 40", we are going when she will be 5Y3M, I'm betting she won't be tall enough. She has always been on the short side.

My dd was 43.5 inches at her 5 year check up. I guess she turned 44 inches before 5.5.
