When did you join your first message board?

I joined a pregnancy board in January 1999. I've probably posted on 20-30 different boards over the past 5.5 years.

This is my one and only, and as you can see, I joined a little over a year ago.

This one was the first. Originally joined in 99, but lost track of my ID when there was a server problem and re-initiated with this ID (I think my original ID was actually my name......not to bright huh?)

Early 2000 my first was the Passporter board. Then later that year Intercot and then here. I also belong to and am active in 4 automotive boards. Now those are huge and make the DIS look small.

If Usenet newsgroups count, then my first posting was July 1993 on the rec.arts.disney newsgroup. It wasn't until the DIS came along that I actually joined a message board.

This was the first board I ever joined, way back when. I lurked for a long time before I joined, until I got comfortable with the way things worked.

I've joined a few others over the years, but nothing beats this board...or even comes close, to be honest. The people here are so intelligent, everybody knows so much, I've learned alot and it's never boring. Works for me!

I started posting on a collectors board (I used to collect Barbies) back in 1995.. then joined another babyboard through StorkSite when I was pregnant with my first child in 1996.. still talk to many of those ladies! Joined BabyCenter in 1999.

When WEBTV first came out I use to post to news.alt.weemba they were a bunch like you guys. But then the trolls came and I left this has been the only other board that I've posted to.
