When did you call to reserve your photographer, and lots of other questions!

Hi everyone!

I have put my room deposit down, and contacted Disney about my wedding date, so I am very excited! I was just wondering when I should try to call and book a photographer for our wedding? I am wanting to book Randy Chapman, and have a couple of back ups for if he is booked, but I'm not sure when they will actually be able to save that date for me. Also, from what I understand, Disney can maybe move my location date until 8 months before my wedding date. Anyhow, if you all could help that would be great. Thanks!

Oh, also... my DH2B has his heart set on us renting the vintage Rolls Royce from Disney. I know they said it will be over $600, but how long will we be getting to use the car for? Does anyone know?

It sounds like your plans are starting to roll along now, how exciting!
When we had our wedding planned for 10/5/05, I called and booked the wedding with Disney on 10/5/04 and called Randy the same day. He was able to book the day for me and told me he already had some weddings scheduled for 10/2005. I would go ahead and call now to make your arrangements. Let me know if you need the number and I'll get it for you.

I've booked him for our 10/18/05 wedding and we also booked Stan too. Last I spoke with Stan A LOT of people were booking for October.

Randy is easy, I emailed him and he sent the package out to me right away. I think we booked him a couple of days after we booked with FTW. I am so excited that he is doing our pictures. I have heard such wonderful things!!
You let me flash back for a minute to remember how excited I was to book our wedding! Then, I have to tell you, it was boring for a few months. I felt like I couldn't really do anything, so I dived into researching things like restaurants, etc. Now, that I am at the five month point, it feels like it is flying by.
It is so great too because my fiance mentions just about every day how excited he is about it. I feel so lucky because I know a lot of guys that could probably care less about all the planning, etc. Now, I try not to think too much about my countdown clock because it just makes me that much more excited!!!

InLoveInDisney - I understand how you feel already. Right now I've started a new job, my classes have started, and I'm having to help my DH2b move back here! I feel like time is just flying by me already! I'm so thankful that this wedding will be so hands off, because I am all out of hands. ( okay that was really cheesy)

Chrysty - I am very excited about making the reservation and everything! I just hope that we don't get our date bumped.

we booked randy close to a year before the wedding. our wedding date is in september and we booked randy in october. he just so happened to be available for our wedding day. don't wait until the last minute. call as soon as you can and try to book him on your wedding day. he's a fabulous photographer. he does an excellent job and is very flexible when it comes to poses and shots. i highly recommend him. call him up now!
