When did tiered FP+ start?

I've never heard of it and don't know how to get both frozen and soarin'. I don't want Frozen until later in the afternoon but am I correct that I won't be able to get a soarin' FP until after I use the Frozen one?

You won't be able to get a Soarin FP until you're used all of the original 3 FP. Tiered FP+ has been at Epcot and DHS since FP+ started. They just added tiers at AK with the new Avatar things.

Your best chance of getting Soarin' as your fourth is to schedule your first three early in the morning. That way you can try for your fourth earlier in the day when there will be more availability

If you want a mid afternoon Frozen, I suggest that you Rope Drop Soarin' standby

That's what I'll have to do. I have a 12:30p slot for FEA which is right before my ADR at Le Cellier so I don't want to change that FP for a morning slot.

Just my opinion, but I found Soarin' to be incredibly lame. As I recall, you dangle on a bench in front of a massive IMAX screen and have some air and mist blown in your face. The fact that this is still a premiere attraction at Epcot says a lot about Epcot.
