When did they start charging for parking at ABE

I thought it used to be free to Park at Allentown Airport...now it looks more $$ than PHL airport?

I've been flying out of ABE for years & years it was never free when I parked! Even the economy lot was $6/day years ago. You can park free in the little lot while waiting to pick someone up as long as they're not checking meters. I use that little lot several times a year when waiting to pick up DH & have never seen them checking meters. But then again, the lot has never even been 1/2 full. If you had free overnight parking in the past at ABE it may have been part of some promo with the airline or hotel maybe?

flew out of ABE in december and the economy lot was 8.00 a day still cheaper than PHL

I've been flying out of ABE on-and-off for 19 years and I"ve always paid to park, but have always found it cheaper than Phl or Newak, my other two options.
