I always thought that it was $10 extra per adult (even though they condider 14 and up and adult) if there's more than 2 adults in a room. I just say that that POR is $15 and the WL is $25 extra per. OUCH!!!
How long ago did this happen?

I believe it's been $25 per extra adult at the deluxe resorts for quite some time...I know it was $25 back in 1999 and 2000.

We paid extra 2 years ago at AKL, not sure how much but I know it was more than $10. The extra adult charge is not added until the person is 18 or older. At least that is when we started paying extra.

It has always been that way for as long as I can remember, $10 values, $15 moderates, $25 deluxes.

For this charge, it is only for ages 18+.

Everyone should try what we do and never have to pay the charge. We always book the room with just two adults. When we check in we tell them about our extra two and add them to the room. We have never been charged at check-in. We would never not tell them so we feel this is actually a fair thing to do. It is worth trying

Wow, that is like so wrong and strange you admit it, due to the fact you berated everyone waiting for AP Codes. Well, you're way is saving $50/night, it's just not the legal way.

I do the same thing. It is no different then getting a free upgrade at check in as you are relying on the niceness of the CM. When my oldest DD wasn't sure she was going to go we didn't tell when booking the room. The CM at CRO told me to just tell the CM at check in and they could take care of it there. No problem. That is what I did. The CM at the Poly said no charge! I would do it again too. I'm not lying to anyone and am fully prepared to pay the fee. I tell them upon check in how many adults and kids. It isn't like some folks that hint for a upgrade then turn it down when they find out it isn't free. I don't know who made you the room police but it is very legal. :sad2:

My sister and I planned a last-minute trip in 2000 -- just the 2 of us staying at YC. However, her fiance decided to join us, and it never occurred to me to call CRO and tell them. We handled it when we checked in and I expected to be charged the $25/nt extra, but we never were. It wasn't like we were trying to beat the system -- I just didn't think about it.

Although, I will say that if they know you have more than 2 adults and they don't charge you, you aren't really beating the system. Now that I think about it, I wonder how it works. We bought hopper passes for my sister and her fiance at check in and they were on the room keys. So there had to be 3 adults linked to the reservation, right? Can a CM just override the extra person charge? I'd think the computer would "know" and add the extra person charge...

Nevermind me...I'm just babbling at this point. I always want to know "just how do they do that?" It's a sickness, really. :rotfl:

I agree with Skiwee1, have never paid for extra adults, daughter during college and after is still welcomed on our vacations and all the disney rooms I've stayed in have 2 beds. I'm not asking or getting anything more for that extra adult charge. If they had to wheel in an extra bed or supply tons of towels that would be different. I've always booked our room in my name only, they ask how many and names but 9 months out, I'm securing just the room, have no idea whose going or can go, usually its just me and the wife but sometimes one of the kids can get away and its usually last minute notice. I'm paying enough for the room as it is and to me 2 extra adulta are less messy than having 2 kids in the room and disney doesn't charge you for them. If Disney started charging for more than 2 in a room, kids I mean, this board would light up like a xmas tree. To each his own no matter what, do Disney your way and keep your nose where it belong! I do!
