When Did I get Voted Off of Skinny Island #2: Castaway's Land Ho!!!!

Hey everyone...

I'll be honest I haven't been tracking that much...because this morning, my raft stopped floating. I woke up to the giant shock of the no longer rocking back and forth of the gentle waves....I looked up at the moon and saw in its light a shadow....

I think I found ground......

yes, I've hit Skinny Island:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:. (is this really it?) Now I'm trying to find the Workout Cave.....it's somewhere on here. Can anybody read Islandnese????

My total weight loss: -55 lbs...and I'm within normal weight BMI for my height (Can I get a woop woop?)

(ATTENTION DAWN: My last weight: 184.8...woop woop!) So, did I hit my goal? No...but I have regained my life and added years back to it... I'm happy. And, I while I didn't hit my grand number weight..... I did hit the goal of being happy with my weight, and my life. Woo!

Now, I'm back into the routine of school...and I really need sleep...my brains hurting. I'll talk with y'all later.

(megaphone shouting out through the waters....)
"THE PAST DOES NOT DEFINE YOU, THE PRESENT DOES!" - Jillian Michaels.

Come on over guys, it's nice and warm under the palm trees! :)

WOOP WOOP!!I'm just so excited for you that you're getting on the island as a young 'un. It's such a great habit to start early, instead of waiting until you're old like me!

Got a new ww digital scale yesterday...Kinda starting over with the weigh-ins! Old scale had a spinny wheel readout.

If only I could read the little words under all of the numbers that flash (fat%? water%? bone?!, BMI...) On a positive note, apparently I have enough bone mass. Now the other numbers on the scale...that's another story:sad2:

Good morning all!

I am + 0.8 this week, which I will admit is a bit irritating when I know how hard I worked! On the other hand, the past 3 weeks I was -3, -3, -2.. so I guess I should be happy with that! It just always seems to happen when I'm right ahead of a big number! A pound off 30 lbs lost and I plateau..LOL. Murphy's Law.

Tracking-
Breakfast- Jimmy Dean egg white, turkey sausage croissant, pineapple.
Lunch- RF hot dog, thin bun, RF potato salad (homemade), strawberries, pineapple, 100 cal cream cheese dip, creamsicle.
Dinner- Hamburger, english muffin, potato salad.
Snacks- popcorn, yoplait delight lemon torte, Reduced fat oreos.
Cals- 1614 (1520-1870)

Exercise- 2 mile walk with Piper.

Aug 29th- Done!

Patrick -

That's awesome! Glad to hear the view is pretty darn sweet from there. Save a spot on the beach for us!

This week I'm -1.2. Feels like I'm fighting for every darn ounce these days, but I'll take it.

The weekend was fun! I really like my brother's new house. The house right next door to them is for sale and has been sitting empty for 2 years. My SIL keeps telling me how it's big enough for us (it is) and since DH and I both work out of the house we could live there no problem. Since it's been empty so long, she thinks we could get a great deal on it. Tempting ;), but I don't think we'll be moving any time soon.

OK, back to work for me.

I am -1.7 for the week, which is much better than I expected! We ended up eating out way too much last week. Will definitely try to do better this week. Sometimes it's hard to eat right when we're running from work, school and sports all week. I don't get off work until 5 or later, then Malachi has football practice on M, T, Th from 6-8, and TKD on W,F, and then we have church on W nights, so we are running like crazy till football season is over. Then maybe we'll get a little break until baseball season starts. Oh, the life of an athelete:rotfl:.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
Way to go Patrick! That is great! I am looking forward to the white sand and hope to see you soon!

I remembered to weigh myself this morning and I am...

wait for it...

down 2 lbs!

I must admit, the tracking is what did it. I actually picked something up this weekend and thought, I don't want to have to tell everyone that I ate a Twinkie! I later thought about it and realized how crummy I would have felt after eating it and was pleased with my "willpower." I will post my tracking later today.

Morning all. Friday night I ended up sicker than heck with a bladder/urinary tract infection. Throwing up, fever etc. So Cipro for infection and percocet for pain and home sick for the weekend. Also battling a stupid sinus infection. Finally feeling better today and ready to get working again and will try to get to WW on Wed. Just no strength to go today. I know I am retaining water and they were having me drink gatorade (no sugar kind) etc. so I feel just bloated.

If you have sent me a weigh in and it did not go through - there is room now for you. Sorry.

I am off to take the 3rd nap of the day. Baylor is at 1st day of HS - I was feeling to cruddy to get weepy when I dropped him off. Ya know I feel bad when I can't get weepy! :lmao:

Hi guys - I can't weigh in today since my scale is busted. We replaced the battery and it tells me I weigh 267! I probably gained last week, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't 130 pounds!!!

So Dawn - I'll have to take a pass for this week.

I did track yesterday and today so far, and will post that later. I left my note at home.

Dawn - I hope you're meds are helping you feel better and that Baylor had a great first day at HS!!! We don't start til next Tuesday.

I'm up .2 again.

:headache:

Which is basically the same. Again.

Gotta get the weight going down instead of up.

Hopefully our routine will settle is this week. The first week of school is always nutso, getting back into the swing of things. Hopefully the swing will swing a little smoother this week.

Hubby is starting WW with me this week. He didn't wanna start last week b/c he had an out of town meeting.

Hoping that him doing it with me will help this week.

Need to get on here more often!! UGH!

Hopefully catch you all again soon!

:grouphug:

Grrrr!! A puzzling and frustrating gain this week.:headache::mad:

I had a great week diet and exercise wise and as of Saturday morning was looking to be down a little over a pound for the week. On Sunday I was back up to my last week's weigh in and then this morning I was up another 1.3 pounds ON TOP OF THAT!!

I can sympathize with Amanda...I had a big loss last week (3.8 lbs) and would have hit the 30 pound mark this week if it hadn't been for this mysterious turn of events. I hope it evens out for next week. It totally threw me off of my game...I've been irritable all day.

My sympathies for fellow sufferers and a big CONGRATS to all the losers this week. Keep up the good work!!

In exercise news - I really haven't done any! HA! No, that's not it. I've been recruited to help coach a youth volleyball team of 5th and 6th graders! So I hope that will help me get moving some more at least once a week at practice!

I'm up 0.4 lbs, so basically no change from last week. I'm okay with that, since the body can fluctuate a bit depending on how often you visit the you know what :rolleyes1

Life has been pretty hectic these past few weeks with school starting back up. I haven't been tracking but generally staying within my healthy habits for the most part. But I'm due for another blood test with my doctor later this week to see how I've been managing my diabetes for the last 3 months. I'm hoping to see the A1C number at or below what I had in May (which was 6.5%).

Oh, quick up date on the clothing front... this past Saturday I stopped by Kohl's to exchange some shoes. I impulsively tried on some khakis and was shocked to find that I've gone down to a size 8 (at least according to Lee brand)! At the beginning of the year, I was trying to cram my butt into size 14s! I haven't worn single digit pant size since high school! Holy cow, I didn't think I would ever get wear that number again. So yes, I did buy them and have been doing a little celebration hopping dance every time I put them on or take them off.

Dawn - I hope you are feeling better soon so you can be properly weepy tomorrow for the 2nd day of school.

Leen - Congratulations on size 8 pants!!!

I'm down -.8 this week. I'm hoping to do much better this week. I didn't track at all today  I didn't eat junky food, but probably too much good stuff. I've been munching on dried apricots and although healthy are way to many calories.

Hey gang,

Just a quick little rant. We were on the go all weekend, ate out way too much, and didn't track a bite.

So I know the whole saying about God not giving us more than we can handle. Well, my disability hitting only five months into our marriage showed we were pretty tough cookies, but I'm seriously ready to throw in the towel. As you all know, I'm fighting this whole collapsed disk issue. Two weeks ago, my brother fell ten feet off a ladder at work, broke both wrists and both needed surgery. Casts for about 7 weeks, then physical therapy; out of work for six months. Well now, this past weekend, DH's grandmother was put in the hospital after not feeling well the last couple of weeks, and rapidly deteriorating the last few days of last week. As they ran test after test all the red flags kept going up, and today we got the official diagnosis that she has bile duct cancer. She's 85 and already has other health problems, so I don't know what they'll be able to do for treatment. I feel so bad for MIL and her siblings, as their dad died of cancer too, now they have to watch their mom go through the same thing. DH grew up two doors down from his grandma, and we go over there almost every Sunday for lunch, so it's going to be really hard on us all when she goes. Am not looking forward to explaining death to a three year old. Yes, I'm optimistic she'll hold out at least until DD's birthday. My SILs baby is due exactly a week before, so we all hope she'll be around for that, and hopefully Christmas too.
