We haven't gone in 2 years, but I remember buying tees for every trip for $5, now they're $12.50 or 2/$18! The sale ones are even $5.99. I feel like I stepped out of a time warp! I also haven't been getting great deals via email either. :confused3

are you talking about at the disney store?? cause you'll die when you get to Disney and see how much their shirt prices went up in the last three years!

Yes, the Disney store ones. However, I did see the site was charging $24.99 for a child's shirt from the parks :scared1: It's a good thing DS isn't really interested in buying shirts when we're there!

I got ones for DD from Old Navy on clearance.

Anymore I can't stand the shirts from Disney Store- they run small and are too thin!

I was just thinking the same thing!!! where did the $5 ones go???

Sorry to tell you, but pretty much all Disney shirts, whether at Disney store, parks, Old Navy, etc. are horrible. They are seriously only worth a few dollars, so don't buy them at the parks, as they do not last at all, yet they cost a fortune!

$5.99 is still pretty cheap, so I would buy those, and then you don't have to worry about purchasing them at the parks.

Good luck with your t-shirt shopping, Tiger

My friend went to the parks in September and bought her daughter an Ariel shirt. It fell apart in the wash when they got back home. She paid $24 for it! She was so mad. She called the merchandise number on the receipt and they mailed her a new one. I was pretty surprised at that but hey, you never know what Disney will do. But I agree, the prices online and in the parks are ridiculous. That's why I'm starting to save now for our trip in 3 years!

They always mail out new merchandise. Believe it or not, it's cheaper than actually providing better quality goods, as most guests don't ask for refunds/exchanges, and, their profit margins are astronomical as all of their products are made overseas for as cheaply as possible.

I'd be really happy to find ones that were $5.99. I feel lucky if I can find anything under $10. There is a reason that I have almost completely stopped buying Disney shirts in the last couple of years.

Sounds like the NYC MTA...pay more, get less lol

Oh the irony... I did just get an email from Disneyshopping .com that they are having free shipping :lmao: no minimum code FREESHIP that might help

I got that also lol but I remember getting 20%, 25%, and 30% off tiered offers based on your order total. Oh Disney, please bring back the deals! It already costs a small fortune to vacation there. $5 tees isn't too much to ask.

I have gotten into the habit of making our own tshirts for Disney trips - everyone gets what characters they want or we do tie dye. I do either appliques or iron ons - so much fun to do as a project and EASY!!!!

Kohls currently has some Disney shirts and a relative told me that WalMart had a bunch too. I bought DD a Tink shirt at Kohls this past Fall and paid $5 or $6 for it on sale. It did shrink ALOT during the first wash in cold water & on the lowest dryer setting though.
