Just saw some on Pinterest and just realized that I haven't seen any in YEARS. My son said he's never seen it and he's almost 20! When did it disappear?

Huh. Never thought of that. My grandma always had pink when I was a kid. I've not seen a color other than white in years.

I'm 35 and I definitely remember colored toilet paper. I remember being told not to buy/use it since it wasn't healthy for girls to use it. ha.

This got me curious because I hadn't even thought about it going away until now but according to toiletpaperworld (yes it's a real website) Scott's was the last manufacturer and they stopped in 2004.

I remember pink, blue and gold. I am guessing I remember those colors because of it matching the bathrooms in my parents home. But I don't know when they stopped making it.

I used to make my mom buy the pink one. She said it didn't match our root beer bathroom. (Our bathroom had accent tiles that were this gorgeous color called Root Beer.)

I actually just saw some at WalMart today and the colours were so wild I think I'd be afraid to use it...:scared1:

It's been a long, long time since I've noticed anything but white available though. I also grew up with Grandma always having pink, to match her shower curtain and fuzzy lid cover. Good memories! :goodvibes

I lived abroad for 10 years, and that country had 2 types of toilet paper while I lived there (I'm sure there's more variety now). There was blue, which was scratchy and hard and white, which was the premium less-scratchy paper. It always amazed me the difference between how much of everything we had here compared to the limited availability of choices there.

I think too many people were allergic to the dyes -- didn't want to irritate "sensitive" areas.

Back in high school I preferred the colorful patterns when "landscaping" friends' yards. Made a bolder statement.

What??

I am 51 and I remember pink and blue. I think they were scott toilet paper. So funny, I forgot all about that.

They probably did away with color because white is probably the cheapest to make.
