When can you expect when you are approaching your year mark??

My DF and I are approaching our 1 year mark in two weeks for our Wishes wedding in October 2015!!!! We have placed our priorities a while back and are so excited to hear back. Do they normally email or call you? And when do we need send in our $4k deposit?

I just received an email, but I know some end up getting called. So it may just depend on your coordinator. Depending on when your 1 year mark lands and your coordinator's schedule, you may end up not hearing for a few days after. If you're worried about being in a lottery or want to know how things are looking going into that point, you can always reach out to them though.

As for when the $4k needs to be in - it goes in when you get your contract, which may take a couple weeks. Once they send that to you, you have 2 weeks from the date in the contract to get the signed contract and your deposit over to them. So, depending on how busy/fast your coordinator is, you'll need to have it ready within 2-4 weeks of your event being confirmed.

Our coordinator called us about four days ahead to inform us that our first choice reception would not be available due to a convention. She confirmed our second choice then at that time and determined that it was available. We received official notification at the end of the day two days after the one year mark, but our one year mark fell on the weekend. I think she emailed us then.

Also, just a note. We haven't actually gone through our lottery process yet (looking at December 2015), but our consultant mentioned that if one year before falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, they do the lottery on Monday. I was surprised to hear that they don't do them on Friday, but she said it's because not everyone is in the office on Fridays.

My one year fell on a Friday so my coordinator emailed me Monday around 3pm with the good news.

Ahh!! We just found out that we being put into a lottery and won't find out until tomorrow! Hopefully everything works out! Just one more day of anticipation!
