when can you book for 2016?

We are planning for a january 25th 2016 vacation and I can't book online yet. It doesn't let me select a time past december 2015. When does it open? I want to book before 180 days out so I can make dining ressies!

You can book RO now by calling. You will be quoted the highest rate for 2015, which will automatically be adjusted once the 2016 rates are released (which could be anytime). A deposit equal to 1 night's room rate + tax is required at booking. If you want to book a package or book online, you have to wait until the new rates come out. Keep in mind that if you book RO now and change to a package later, the RO will have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new deposit of $200. Since RO and packages are separate reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other. With that said, you can make ADRs at 180 days without a resort reservation. You would have to call every day since you couldn't do +10, but you can still make them if you aren't booked by the 180 day mark.

We're in the UK and had access to 2016 bookings since end of April.
It's just taken me a while to decide.

I am so confused. I called today about my RO reservation I made a few months ago for 2016 at POR and the CM said the room only rate I have is the rate I locked in and will pay. She said the 21st is only packages. She said I was not given the highest rack rate for Feb. 2015 (I made a ressie for Feb 2016), i was given the rate I will be expected to pay. Now I am disappointed that my rate won't be going down this week (if she was correct).

You're not confused, the CM you just spoke to is the one who's confused.

That's interesting. I know in the past for RO reservations made prior to the new rates being released, the quote was for the highest rate for the current year and then adjusted once the rates were released. I wonder if things have changed recently ?

On Monday two separate sets of in laws just made room only reservations for next December and both were told that they were charged the highest nightly rate from 2015 as a deposit. They were told once the new rates are released, they will know what their nightly rate will be.

Just a heads up, the military discount tends to lag behind the release of the new years rates by a few weeks. We may not have an announcement on that for several weeks.

You can book through the UK website already for next year with free dining, to get to the UK site you just change the language from USA English to UK english
