When can I transfer 2024 UY points to another member?

I believe you have to be in your 2023 UY to transfer 2024 points.

At any given point in time you can transfer points from the current use year you are in, or points from your next use year. Thus, you could transfer Aug 2024 points as early as Aug 2023.

I have points coming available June 2024.planning a trip in 2024 (if there is any availability), can I borrow points from 2025 at the same time. I am understanding that I can’t book anything until June 2024 otherwise I would be “borrowing“ from UY2024. Is that correct

Since your planned trip will occur between 6/1/2024 and 5/31/2025, then yes, you may borrow from your 2025 use year to pay for it. You can book the trip as soon as the booking window opens for it, even if you want to book it prior to 6/1/2024.

The short answer is you do NOT have to wait for June 2024 before you can book a trip in that UY. You can ALWAYS book a reservation at your home resort 11 months prior to checkin, and you can ALWAYS book a reservation at a non-home resort 7 months before checkin. (Subject to availability, of course.)

UY has nothing to do with when you can book. UY has everything to do with what points you can use. If your desired trip falls in your 2024 UY (June 2024 through May 2025), you could use banked 2023 points, 2024 points, and borrowed 2025 points for that reservation.

The easiest way to wrap your head around this is by starting with your trip date at 11 months out (or less).

Figure out what UY your trip is in.
Example - I have a Sept UY. If I book a May 2024 trip that is in my Sept 2023 UY.

That trip can use banked or borrowed points that are available.
It can use banked points from my Sept 2022 UY.
It can borrow points from my Sept 2024 UY.

You can always book 11 months out if you have active points and there is availability.
