When can I get a second Tier One FP?

I have three fast passes booked at Epcot (Soarin', Nemo, and Spaceship Earth), all pretty early in the day. There is a good chance that I'm not going to make the Spaceship Earth fp because we will probably already be back in World Showcase. I would like get a FP for Test Track that day, if possible. Once my Spaceship Earth FP time expires, will I be able to make a FP for Test Track (assuming availability)?

I've read the FP+ thread (Thank you Mesaboy--very helpful!), but I wasn't 100% sure how it worked with the tiered parks and getting an additional fast pass to one of the tier one attractions.

Thank you!

Any (ANY) FP that is available for choosing, after your first three have been used/cancelled/expired, can be picked.

Any FP. Any tier.

NOTE:
If you are CERTAIN that you don't want to use your Spaceship Earth
FP+ (or any of your other FP+) ...

THAT MORNING, in Epcot: Before you ride your first FP+ attraction: CANCEL your Spaceship Earth
FP+ (or any of your other FP+ you do not intend to use.)

Then, after you have used the remaining FP+, you will be able to book your NEXT ("4th")
FP+ immediately.

On November 13th, I've got Soarin booked in the morning, with two other FP+'s that I don't want. So I can cancel the other two that morning, through a kiosk or my phone app? Trying to get a test track for the night or whenever that day.

In my experience, the chances of getting Test Track as a 4th are extremely slim, so you should not count on that. We have had 3 FP+ trips with at least 2 EPCOT days each trip at times which are not that crowded. We stack our FPs early and move up times when we can in the park in an attempt to be through them early and to try for either Test Track or Soarin- whichever one we did not get for the day. In 3 trips, we have never been able to pick up Test Track or Soarin as a 4th, and it is always before noon when we try- it has even been before 11 and still no luck.

I just checked the WDW site now and I could get a FP+ for tonight for Test Track for 7:10pm, so I was thinking if I rode Soarin and was done with it by like 10am, maybe there would still be some test track left. Idk, just a thought. :thumbsup2

I don't want the other FP+'s anyways, so it's worth a shot.

With a FP for Soarin, we always RD TT. Usually done and out the exit in 20 minutes. Then we head to Mission Space, and after that over to Soarin using a FP.

That way we're sure to ride both TT and Soarin, and don't have to risk not getting a TT FP. And if we do get one...we can always ride it again :)

we would just do the rope drop, but we'll be driving over from Port Canaveral, so who knows how fast we'll get off the ship, get the rental, drive to YC and get into Epcot. :rotfl2:

Ah, that *will* be dicey. Our DCL ship didn't get in until 8, so even with parking near the port, we didn't get into AK until 930.

(which is why our first-day park is almost always AK--it doesn't have a "need to do RD" ride like the other three).

1. Yes.
2. That will give you a fighting chance.

so right now I only have one FP+ reserved for that day and that's for Soarin.

I reserved Soarin, with two others that I didn't need. I then went back in and cancelled the two I didn't want and kept Soarin for 9:40am to 10:40am. Is that a bad idea to only have one set up for the day?

I never recommend cancelling one or two FPs, it requires more work than it should to get them back. You may find the green link in my signature helpful.

Do not cancel any of your 3 first FP+ until you are THERE on that morning at the park.

Here is my first post, again:

one last question, do the cancelations have to happen before the start of my first FP+ of the day?

If my Soarin FP+ is at 9:20am, then do I have to cancel the other two before that time? I'm not sure if I can make it to the park before 9:20am, so I may have to adjust the Soarin FP+ to a little later.

It wasn't clear earlier in the thread, but does this have to happen at a kiosk or will it work just fine on the app?

Any way you want to do it.
That's why I was very specific about "when" and didn't specify "how."

What happens if you cancel FP 2 and 3 after using FP1? Does that change anything? (availability, timeframe, etc) Either way, you can't book the 4th until after FP1 is used, right?
