When can I book Disneyland for February?

Does anyone know how early/when I can book our Disneyland trip? Looking at anywhere between end of January through early March 2025.

Tickets can be booked anytime through various methods. Park reservations for January are already available and February-March will be coming online day by day over the coming weeks. Official Disneyland packages should become available for booking (hotel and/or tickets) within the coming weeks. Last year, Disneyland opened packages for all of 2024 during August. There's been no official announcement for 2025, but presumably it will be similar.

I completely respect booking a package through Disney directly and that is a perfectly acceptable choice. I do want to mention that there are often slight discounts to be had by booking room and tickets separately. Undercover Tourist, among others (Getaway Today, AAA, Costco), sells both tickets and Disney hotels. Both are usually at a slight discount. I typically book tickets there and then a hotel somewhere else (I usually stay offsite).

You buy the tickets, they email you a PDF with the barcodes, you add the tickets to your app, then you make park reservations. Very easy. If you end up needing to change plans, UT offers a return option for a slight fee and the tickets are good until January of the following year (so right now until January 12, 2026). If you do an exchange with UT, they will do it for free if you call them. For example, let's say you buy 3 day tickets and want to add a 4th day - they will let you do it with no charge (or if you buy without a hopper and want to add or without LLMP and want to add). Also, if Disney releases a ticket promotion, UT usually offers these too and will let you exchange the tickets with them.

Just checking: are you aware that if you cancel a Disneyland package within 30 days of your arrival date, there's a $200 cancellation fee? (If you cancel with three days or less, they keep your entire package cost.) By contrast, a hotel-only reservation can be cancelled up to five days before arrival.

Just a note on packages vs booking separate reservations and Disney Travel Co (WDTC) vs other travel companies.

With WDTC if you do have to cancel your package, the ENTIRE package is cancelable/refundable, meaning that your tickets will be cancelled & refunded, too. This can be a big benefit if you travel long distance and/or you don't know when you'll be able to reschedule OR if this may be a once in a lifetime trip.

Disney tickets bought separately through Disney are NOT refundable. Yes, they still retain their value, but I'd rather just be able to get my money back.

With third party vendors (for hotels, tickets, or packages), you just need to be very, very careful and scrutinize their cancellation and refund policies, especially wrt park tickets. Yes, they may be a few bucks cheaper but some of them include nonrefundable tickets.

We always use WDTC for our WDW & DLR trips. Especially WDW since we drive cross country. And we were easily able to reschedule our last WDW trip to more than 30 days out when I had a medical issue arise. If we had then had to cancel that trip we would have gotten a full refund.

Also very good points. I have some thinking to do. I've always gone through WDTC for our DW trips. Honestly my point in starting this thread is making sure I can book what tix we want and where we want to stay as early as possible to avoid not being able to get what we want.

Park reservations for on-site guests generally don't sell out. Honestly, park reservations for paid tickets (non-magic Key) rarely sell out recently (currently every day for next 6 months is available).

I wouldn't book a package just to ensure you get park reservations.

In general, park reservations come out 6 months in advance for paid tickets outside of packages, so early feb available now.

Not sure anyone knows on the hotels, but it should be soon that 2025 comes out

It's a frustrating thing WDW vs DLR. WDW rates are already out through Oct 2025. DLR's thru Dec 2024.

I think DLR 2025 rates should be out just about any day now. It's usually 'late summer' which can be any time from mid-August on.

I wouldn't book a package just to ensure you get park reservations.

In general, park reservations come out 6 months in advance for paid tickets outside of packages, so early feb available now.

Agreed. Park reservations for regular tickets are easy to come by most days now. I was just there during July 4th and there were reservations available for both parks each morning. In fact, we changed our starting reservation at 7:00 am one day because we felt like starting at the other park.
