When are you going to see The Lion King??

The Lion King opened yesterday, shown in IMAX for the first time in many theaters. In Chicago, we are planning on (date yet to be set) a late January DIS meet to see the movie, with late afternoon meal/meet to follow.

I think The Lion King movie is one of Disney's best, IMO, and the musical score is outstanding. I am looking forward to seeing it again, this time on the IMAX format.

Hopefully next weekend......DH & DS will be on a scout camping trip so DD & I will be looking for something to do. We saw Beauty & the Beast at the IMAX last year when they were camping.

I love this movie... I agree one of Disney's beset out there! I am not sure when I'll be seeing it, but there was serious talk of a Columbus meet to go see this one so probably either this month or the beginning of next... can't wait!

Saw it yesterday at 3:00, the second showing of the day, at my local Giant Screen theatre. Silently cried (as DH would've picked on me profusely) throughout the movie -- was absolutely phenomenal to see it on the Really Big Screen!

oldkicker and myself are planning on going down the NYS Thruway to see it in Rochester. (It's here in Syracuse but the IMAX is a "small", dome-like one and not the true IMAX experience). Haven't set a date yet but will let all upstate NYer's know about it when we do!!

If you are interested, give me a PM so I can get you on our list when we announce it! Thinking mid to late January.

we have 2 imax theatres in Boston and one on the south shore and it is not scheduled in any of them.

DH & I are going on NY Eve. Our MOSI has one of the huge domed theaters...its awesome! DD & I saw B&TB there last year, but unlike mrsapalm, I did not silently cry. No, I was a downright blubbering ball of mush!
I'm sure I'll be the same this time. I love this movie!!!


DD & I are going to see The Lion King on stage this weekend too! Can't wait!
