when are the college's having their spring break?

Well I just finished grad school last year and it took me 3 1/2 years-- our spring break was usually the 1st or 2nd week in March. I believe it was the same as an undergrad. However, we went the 1st week in March last year and there were very little crowds! We never waited on line more than 10-20 minutes, and didn't have any problems catching busses (we stayed at the ASMovies). I recommend this time of year-- besides the low crowds, the weather was perfect! But I heard it can be chillly.... But for me, I would rather a little chilly than 95 degrees!

Hope this helps!

My finals are from March 20th -24th but some students get out sooner depending on their finals schedule. So some students might get out before March 25th (like me). My spring break goes from March 25th - April 2nd.

My DH is a professor and their spring break is March 11-26. Not many schools get 2 weeks vacation!

Thanks! I love these links with the calendars!
And VERY glad to know it wasn't crowded the first week of March! I am pretty much panic stricken that there will be 1 hour waits for the rides. My worst nightmare, thanks for the reassurance.

I am in grad school and my university gives us a week in early March and another break the week of Easter. Lucky me! :cool1:

2 spring breaks... no fair.. Anyways our spring break is early march

thanks for the chart
we'll be there 3/24-31 so maybe the crowds wont be as heavy as midMarch

Oh Man! I shouldn't have looked at that chart. Its gonna be crowded when we go! :guilty: :earseek:

Both my DS's are at a Catholic College here in the Northeast and they get a very early spring break. It is always the FIRST full week in March BECAUSE they also get a break again at EASTER. Hence, their early March week. They will then get Holy Thursday through Easter Monday off. So the Parks could virtually be really busy between school and college right through Easter. My older DS went one year (Sophomore) with all his college buddies to WDW and were a tad bit disappointed in the NIGHT life. They were not 21 yet hence no night club's would allow them in (Pleasure Island) and the Parks closed up early like by 6pm the week they were there. OH WELL. They spent allot of EVENING time at ESPN by EPCOT, eating and watching Sports on their big screens tv!!! They were actually MAD at their college because they thought that EARLY week in March was LAME. They didn't complain though when they did get another week at Easter!!! He is now 2nd year Master's and my other DS is a Sophomore!!! :flower:

p.s. they are JEALOUS, DH & I are headed to WDW and then the WONDER Late Jan while they go to class and take notes and do homework....hahahaha!!! :rotfl:

My spring break is the 13-20 of March (actually it is the 10th because I have no classes on Fridays! :cheer2: ). I go to Montclair State in NJ, BTW.

I think I am correct in saying that the chart I attached is for colleges and universities and my understanding is that the majority of folk in this age bracket are heading to the likes of Daytona,Fort Lauderdale,Panama Beach,South Padre etc (not so much central Florida).I would suggest that as far as crowds are concerned at Disney during the Spring breaks,THIS chart is probably more useful (scroll down the page to find historical listings).

DD friend at montclair march 13-20 DD rowan university glassboro nj march 13-20 or as somone said march 10-22 no class on fri we will be at the BWV march 12-17

Here it is always whichever week falls with 3/11 in it. Easy for me to remember as that's my Birthday! So this year its 3/5-3/11.
