We own at VWL and cant wait to go home for the 1st time. But Granny inspired me to be iquisitive. If we want to book at 7 mos window for BWV or OKW which mos would be the the most likely that we could get a studio at these.(Not shunning BCV but its to new to know right now)
Dont put into factor waitlisting, we are still rookies and that thought scares us, we have to know when we can vacation. Thanks for any experienced insight.

That's really a tough call. Chances are you would probably do well in January, early February, May, End of August/September, October (times when kids are in school)....but you could get lucky just about anytime of year.

Best to always book at the 11month home resort and at the 7 month window attempt to switch the whole vacation over to the other resort. Or you can switch the ressie over day by day but then there is always a chance you may not get the whole ressie at the new resort and would have to move during your vacation and although this doesn't bother many it is something I would not want to do - but thats just me.

I'll second that. There are many variations to use in doeing this but the best to get what you want is to book at the 11 month window at your home resort then at 7 months book at the preferred destination. IF the entire stay is not available at the 7 month window at the non home resort, book the days you can and wait list DAY by DAY to try to pick up the others. Then cancel what you must before the 60 day window keeping your home resort reservation as well. This assumes you have enough points and aren't putting the extra points tied up in jeopady by missing your banking window. Just another reason where Use Year is important.

FWIW, I booked a week in a 1 bedroom preferred for August, 2002 at BWV about 5 months ahead of time. My first choice of August dates wasn't possible at that time, but the week prior was available. If you are not locked in to specific dates when you call at the 7 month window, I think you have a good chance of getting in at BWV during the summer months (except perhaps the 4th of Julyweek). I also agree that January, May and September are relatively easy, too.

Good luck!
