When are my tickets activated

This is our first trip to Disney without an Annual Pass. We had to purchase a 7 day pass for each member of our party. I linked the ticket and assigned ticket to everyone in our group. We all have Magic Bands from a previous trip. My question is, on our arrival day my son and his girl friend are going to go directly to Magic Kingdom while my wife and I do a Wal Mart run. Will they be able to enter the park or do they need to activate their passes.

They should be ready to go and be able to scan in the park.

Typically, only FL Resident tickets and select Military tickets require activation before use.

And DVC APs (currently Sorcerer APs) that require verification of DVC membership and ID.
