When and why did they stop selling cap guns at D Land?

So last Nov. at WDW I was overjoyed to see the old style musket cap guns outside of Pirates... I have a few of these that my pops bought me when I was a kid at D Land. Does anyone know the reasoning behind not selling them there anymore? I know that they had to put the neon orange tips one them but seriously what gives?

Our youngest DS (11 years younger than the oldest) wanted one like his brothers way back in 2001 and they were no where to be found in FL. We were told they quit selling them, but of course CM's wouldn't give a "why". My guess is the dramatic increase of school shootings and other radical gun crimes.

Who knows all I know is that a gun never pulled its own trigger.... Man I better get mine out of the garage for my kid (when the time comes).

Maybe they should take out the gunfights in Pirates?

Wait, last nov was when I was at WDW are you saying they're gone there as well?
