When and where are those member meetings?

I'd like to TRY to attend one of the member meetings while at WDW in august... where do they have these and at what time? How long do they roughly last?

I appears that the new meetings are at SSR on Wednesdays at 4 or 4:30. I know someone reported the time, but I kind of forgot exactly what it was. I do know it was late afternoon instead of breakfast. It used to be Tuesdays at OKW at 8 am, but I know that is gone now.

As Diane mentioned, the Member Updates are now offered at 4:00pm in the Cinema at SSR. This is located near the pool and new DVC Preview Center. The models are open after the update for those interested in a look at the resort.

The focus of these "new" updates is that they are offered by the DVC marketing staff- not the sales staff- and the presentation does give a great overview of the entire DVC program and what's happening within DVC and WDW.

There are door prizes, but apparently not as many other prizes as used to be given at the prior updates. Previously, they were on Tuesday mornings at 8:00am at OKW and Thursdays (8AM) at BWV. The change to the 4:00 time was made to accommodate the needs of members based on surveys done.

Wow -- 4 pm is accommodating to people's schedules? Guess I must have missed THAT survey. Seemsllike it just cuts the day right in half, and it's not like SSR is "on the way" to anywhere except maybe DTD. (i.e you could go to BW on your way to EPCOT or MGM...) Mybe they figured DVCers would wander over from DTD?

I might make this, I might not.... we'll be at SSR during the last phase of our trip, might be able to squeak it in. I was really hoping for that THurs am at BW though. Oh well.

The vast majority of our trips have been in the summer due to kid's school schedules. We are usually out of the parks by 11 or noon, and we do other things until the evening when we might return to the parks. 4:00 seems like a pretty convenient times for people who follow our type of schedule.

4:00 is a great time for us...we're usually in the room getting ready to go out for dinner. We could easily accomodate an hour for the member update. The only reason we didn't make it last week was due to DD's birthday dinner.
