When and were do you feel the most relaxed at a DVC resort home?

I would have to say for myself is when I have everything unpacked from the long trip to WDW and I am settled in my OKW villa. I then hop into my Speedo and head for the nearest pool for some fun in the sun. This to me is the most relaxing thing in the world.

In the morning when I am having a leisurely breakfast and not having to rush out the door to a character meal or a breakfast buffet, or even a regular breakfast.

Most any evening after the kids are asleep in their own room and we can put our feet up in the living room or balcony with a glass of wine.

When I first walk in the door of my unit and realize no matter what room # i get, the villa will be the same.
I AM FINALLY HOME!!!!!!

Taking a nap in the hammock at Vero Beach (the one by building 12). Laying in the shadows of the foliage listening to the sounds of the waves rolling in is when I feel most relaxed.

The moment we walk through the doors at BCV and are greeted with Art's big smile, then hearing that Welcome Home at the check in counter, that about does it for me.

The relaxed feeling does not leave until the day of check out.

But, it never really leaves alltogether, thanks to DVC, I usually have at least one more trip completely planned and I can check out with a much lighter heart:p

1) Becoming engrossed in a good novel by the pool - any of them.

2) Having a cigar on the balcony at night - especially at HHI where it's really peaceful.

3) A late night monorail ride when hardly anyone else is on it.

4) Realizing that I've forgotten what day of the week it is.

5) Hearing "Welcome Home!" at any resort gate, especially our home, VWL.

6) And the number 1 - getting to 5 pm and realizing I don't have to check voice mail or e-mail, and knowing that the only reason I brought my planner is so I can remember our dining PS's.

Sitting out on the balcony enjoying a cup of coffee and soaking up the sunshine

As antee has said when we are sitting on our balcony in the morning enjoying

. Also when we are on the Trumbo Ferry boat ride to DD..........then we know we are at home.

Now that's when I know I am relaxed!
Disney is one of the few places where I can forget, if only for a while, everything else in the world.

I've got this one down to a science. Wake up before anyone else and sneak out with my roaring forks coffee mug. I stash the mug and go for a moonlit jog thorough the woods to Ft Wilderness and back before alternately soaking in the spa and swimming in the pool. Follow this with a hot mug of coffee, just standing on the beach in awe of the the sun rise over Bay Lake. Soon the sounds of silence are broken by the shhhushing, ffffffffftttttiing, and pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhphing of the 7am geyser, right on time. As I walk back to the room I cant help but give thanks to the Ultimate Imagnineer and smile about the insight my then 4 year old nephew once shared with me. He said "We're lucky ducks, aren't we Uncle Ron?" Yes Alex, we are.

Having made a cup of hot tea, sitting on my balcony with it at BCV, eyes closed, leaning back, listening to the faint strains of the World Showcase backround music. This feeling of relaxaton is closely followed by the relaxation of sitting in the rocking chair on my balcony in HHI early in the morning with my morning coffee listening to the birds. However, I'm headed off to my first 2 BR at OKW next week, and I have a feeling that sitting on the porch there might rival the relaxation of HHI (not surpass it because there are no rocking chairs).

Yes, sitting on the beach overlooking Bay Lake listening to the quiet at VWL has to be the best. I am also very relaxed sitting in the shade at any park watching people, just watching the interaction. I love that. I also love the coolness on a hot summer day of sitting in American Adventure relaxing thru the show. Little things like that you begin to notice are so relaxing. That's when I notice my brain has officially turned to mush. Thank you DVC!

Laying in my lounge chair with a frozen drink in hand watching my kids go up and down the clown slide at BWV

Sitting in a rocking chair in front of the fireplace at either WL or VWL. I have sat there for as long as an hour before. It is absolutely relaxing for me.

Hmmm.... A REAL Speedo fan would have worn it on the plane ride to Orlando.

Speedo Bob is having some fun with us here. I am just trying to figure out who he really is. I think it may be Richyams, although it could be ncligs. Perhaps Dean or Doc??? :teeth:

Hanging out at the pool is my #1 choice.

But, if I ever put on a Speedo, I suspect DVC would have to invoke some sort clause to put a quick end to such an offensive sight! :p :p :p :p

Something about that phrase and Speedo's together........

Better not go for the joke...may get banned from the boards.
