When and how to fax room request at ASmu? Please help me if you can!

I noted on the ressie my preference in location for our All Star Music room, but there seems to be mention of faxing requests to resorts prior to a stay.

We are arriving in 10 days. Is this too early to do so?
What # do I fax it to.
And should I note a 7th birthday celebration on the fax also. I did mention this on the ressie, but would it be appropriate to mention this again?
