When a fly gets in your house, do you....

My DH and I had a disagreement on what most people do when a fly gets in their house. I chase it around and kill it, and I get annoyed at DH because he never takes over fly patrol. He says it will die eventually. So what do you do, when a fly gets in your house?

I said kill it myself and other. If I'm near it, I'll kill it myself. Otherwise, I let the cat find it. He loves to eat them!! YUCK

I thought my cat was the only one that did this.... She will eat anything..moths, flies, spiders.

I'm on fly patrol right now. A fly was bugging the heck out of me until I got up and got a fly swatter. Now it has disappeared. Isn't it weird how they know when you have a fly swatter? I will Kill the nasty pest as soon as it lands near me again.

My DH NEVER kills flies. He acts like it is my job, or maybe he's just too lazy. I just know if I want them killed, I am going to have to do it myself. They don't seem to bother him like they do me!

I put other because it varies. In general, I leave them alone. I don't like to kill bugs, except scorpions. All scorpions must die the instant they are seen. I cannot wait for someone to come along and kill them for me, so I usually do it. Spiders I leave alone (unless its a black widow) because spiders kill other bugs for me. Flies, sometimes I leave them alone, sometimes I ask one of the kids to get it cause I'm cooking and its annoying me, and sometimes I get DH. If a fly bugs him, he cannot rest until it is dead.

Otherwise, I just use whatever (magazine, flip-flop) and my cat-like reflexes to kill it. I absolutely cannot stand it buzzing around! Yuck!

That's the ONLY way I can kill a fly. I am such a wimp. I carry around a bottle of windex and when the fly lands near the window, I spray the fly, and do a quick swipe of the entire window while I am at it. My windows only get cleaned if there is a fly around, that's sad.

Generally I leave them alone or I wait until they fly around the door trying to get out and then I open the door and shoo them out.

I try not to kill too many creatures if it is not absolutely necessary.

I just killed one about 15 minutes ago.

Usually I open the back sliding door, hope it lands on the screen, shut the door, open it back up far enough so I can open the screen a bit, shut the door again, and hope it finds the way out.

But if it will not cooperate? I kill it.

They are so annoying, not to mention
disgusting when landing on food. Someone
said to me once "I see this fly around my
food and all I can think of is it was probably
on some dog poop!!YUK!!!
