I have been buying paper lately to build up a small supply :rolleyes1 ....you know what I mean.

And I noticed tonight as I am putting it away - 7gypsies and Creative Imaginations paper is NOT a true 12X12 - what to do :confused3 as it will not fit in the 12X12 pages I have without leaving 'white' edges around it....just doesn't look very nice.

What should I do? What do YOU do?

What do you mean it leaves white edges? If I use a full sheet of PP like that, I don't usually mount it on CS, and I don't really notice the size difference once it's in the page protector.

I feel your pain!! I have the same trouble. I find that either my paper isn't 12 x 12 or my page protector isn't 12 x 12. I have actually had to re-do completely finished pages because they didn't fit into my "supposedly" 12 x 12 page protector. Very aggravating! I keep a page of white card stock that came directly out of the page protector of whatever album I am working on, handy to use to measure my 12 x 12 sheets with. Sometimes they are larger, sometimes they are smaller and I have to use a border around them. Sometimes they are larger one way, but not the other! I find that this problem is happening less often now than it did a few years ago, but it does still happen. It's kind of like a joke..."when is 12 x 12 not 12 x 12?" The answer is "too often"!!! I am not dedicated to a particular brand or two of paper, so I haven't really been able to figure out what companies are the "offenders". But I am looking more and more for the papers that say "true 12 x 12". Sorry you are having this trouble!..............P

Ahhhh...gotcha! That is an idea - what I have been doing is leaving the white paper that comes with the page protectors in place. If I slip those out, you will not see that the pages are smaller than the protectors...except since they don't fit exactly in the protectors as they are too small, you might still see the 'back edge' of the page on the other side!
And if I mix papers - using 'true' 12X12 along with the not quite 12X12 - I still have the problem of seeing the back of the opposing sheet :confused3 .

I agree wiht your post on the other thread - you DO need to become the Disney ::MickeyMo SB consultant :wizard:

I just buy paper I like and the last order I placed had about 14 pieces of 7gypsie so that is why I noticed the difference. The other paper I mentioned was purchased at the Mikes 5/$1 sale - I did a few pages with it and then put it into the PP (does PP mean 'page protector'? I am still catching on to the abbreviations!) and that is when I noticed the 'gap'.
Thanks  for the suggestion of keeping the sheet from the actual PP you are using on the work surface....good guideline to use.

Definitely take that paper out. Honestly, I haven't noticed the back pages from the other layouts. There are some books, however, that I have to cut down my pages anyway... actually almost all of them. There are so many different 12x12 sizes out there... who knew? ;)

Well when I use other paper I wallpaper it on to the card stock. I just don't like the flimsiness of paper without cardstock. If it isn't quite 12 x 12 I align it either to the inside (top or bottom) or outside (top or bottom) depending on the layout and usually trim with a border anyway.

Of course there is the opposite side of that too...when the paper is just a smidge bigger than the card stock then I have to trim.
