My family is leaving for Disney in 9 days. We are staying at Carribean Beach for the first time! My grandmother just had surgery 2 weeks ago and will be needing a wheelchair. Does anybody know if this will be a problem with Disney transportation buses? Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

It will not be a problem at all...at least most of the time. All of the buses are wheelchair friendly although occasionally one will come along with a lift or ramp that's not operating. Has happened to us only once although we haven't used the buses a lot.

WDW is the easiest place we've found for a wheelchair user. I hope you all have a great trip.

There is another forum called disAbilities here on the DIS. If you have more specific questions as your trip nears there are lots of friendly folks with experience over there, too.:D
