Wheelchairs Available at Boardwalk?

My Mom and I are planning on going to WDW in December, and I'm thinking of spending some time one evening walking around at the Boardwalk. Mom is 83 and can only walk for a short distance, so I was wondering if wheelchairs are available at the Boardwalk like they are in the parks and at DTD.

There is no place at the Boardwalk where you can rent a wheelchair. There is a possibility that you might be able to borrow one from the front desk, but usually any they have are loaned to Resort Guests for length of stay.

This is one of the reasons we recommend that you rent a wheelchair (or ECV) from an off-site company for the duration of the trip. This way you always will have one available, It is also useful for parking lots and even very long hallways at some hotels.
