Wondering if anyone has any idea how long it will take to walk from the entrance of MK to Cinderella's castle (keep in mind we will most likely be pushing my mom's chair). We have an 8:30 PS and want be sure we give ourselves enough time.

Also, I assume accessibilty is no problem at the Castle. I did hear that we should inform them of the w/c, so we get put in the area with no step down.

Thanks for all of your help. My mom was very impressed by the ride accessibilty info you gave us. I appreciate it!

I don't know how long the walk is (never timed it), but my guess would be about 15 minutes. But I'm not really sure at all. Anyone else have a guess?
You are right to assume that the castle is accessible and that you should let them know that you will be traveling with a wheelchair when you make your PS. It's also a good idea to let the hostess know when you check in at the restaurant.
The check in and waiting lobby are on the ground floor. THere is an elevator right by the stairs. The one thing I like to warn people about is that the restrooms are all downstairs from the restaurant floor. The wheelchair accessible/companion restroom is on the lobby floor and you need to get a key from the hostess to use it. The other restrooms are sort of on a landing hallway up the stairs.
Have fun.

Sue's estimate for walking sounds very reasonable to me. The greater variability might be in getting from your resort to the MK. Guesses, I mean estimates, happily given upon request!

Have a super time. That's our favorite character breakfast. Bc of scheduling (my dh will be working most of the time) we will be going to the character breakfast at the Poly.

We're staying at a Villa in Kissimee, supposedly 10 min from MK (suuuuurrrrre!). So I figure if we leave at 7, we'll be all set to enter the park around 7:30-45 and get to the castle by 8ish.

Thanks!

Michelle
