I am staying at Kidani Village next weekend and my family that lives in Florida will be coming to the resort to visit us in our villa. My Grandmother is 85 and gets out of breath easy from walking. Is there a wheel chair someplace I can borrow to transport her from the parking garage or lobby to my room? Also, will they be able to park at Kidani as a visitor of a guest?

Most DVC resorts do have manual wheelchairs available on a first come, first served basis. You can not reserve them. We have always had to leave a CC imprint as a deposit. Check with the front desk when you check-in.

Yes Kidani does have wheelchairs. We need one for DD and on our trip in Aug and they lent us one for our stay at the front desk. There was no charge and they did not ask for a credit card imprint.

Posters have reported variable luck with borrowing a wheelchair from their resort. Sometimes, they are in good shape - other times, not so good.

For the short time it sounds like they will be there, it will probably work out OK. For anything longer, I would suggest taking the phone number of one of the offsite rental companies listed in post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread - just in case.
