Resort Thread Disney's POP CENTURY Resort

I had one at three different resorts 2 years ago. I wish hey Disney would have just told me they didn't have them rather than saying, Yes, we will bring that to you. I was really excited about hey Disney, but I never even tried to use it after that. I just unpacked and put some things in the closet, but I usually live out of my suitcase.
Hey Disney has been such a disappointment. Cute at first but the reality is it’s only good for weather, soundscapes and alarms. When I try to use it for actual room stuff it fails about half the time now. The failure rate wasn’t that bad at the beginning and I chalked it up to roll out bugs but I don’t even try now unless the phone is giving me issues.

Hoping to cruise on the Fantasy this September with a GTY-discounted rate and I have chosen Pop to be the resort for the night before. Mainly since I have yet to ever stay there and a more modest price point. Since I do not know which cruise we will be going with, I booked two dates with a Standard View location.

I am hoping to book a third date this weekend. Standard view location is fine since it will just be one night. But I didn't realize till now that they designated all the rooms in the 60's section as Preferred after the refurb. Good money grab there Disney. 💲💲💲

Yes,they returned the 1960s to their original designation as all Preferred.

Funny thing is they didn't return the 1950s and 1970s to their original all Standard designation.!lol

They would’ve delivered to your room if you had called baggage services from your room and asked them to do so, but it could be 5 minutes or it could be 50+ minutes. They won’t deliver to your room unless you’re in it.
This was not my experience in October. I did not ask for delivery to my room, but when I returned to the resort at the end of my park day on check-in day the bags were already in my room. I was not there when the bags arrived.

Technically they don't deliver to your room unless you are there. But in reality it does happen and it is a nice bonus when it does.

My experience has been they deliver luggage to your room when time permits but often they’re just too busy to automatically do this so I call luggage services or, retrieve it myself. In the days of Disney’s Magical Express there were times our luggage arrived in our room before we did.

Where have you read Disney publish that they do not deliver it to your room if you are not there? This is not something I ever remember reading.

This is correct and straight from baggage services themselves back in September. They will deliver to the room if you are not there, IF they have the ability to do so. Sometimes they are short handed and just don't have the chance to do it. So they don't promise that it will be done, but it is something they aim to do.

Definitely always been our experience at the Values.

I think the confusion could be that, unlike the Values, the Moderates' and Deluxes' Bell Services are much more "tip oriented" and thus very much preferring a Guest be in the room before delivering bags.

Pop is known to have issues with not enough space for luggage storage, delivering bags helps relieve that.
