Does anyone have information about length of stay rental of wheel chairs? My husband and I will be going to WDW next month. I have difficulty walking. I can walk, but not long distances. If I get the length of stay , do I keep the same chair throughout my stay. Anywhere I can get info on it?
Thanks, Marjorie

Check out the disABILITIES board. They have the best information on obtaining wheelchairs, as well as, tips on how to navigate Disney World in a wheelchair. :earsboy:

Marjorie,

Are you staying on or off property? You have several options, including renting a wheelchair from home (usually a reasonably low fee compared to the parks), transporting it (by air? I am thinking you might be flying from Long Island?) and using either it, or the airline's wheelchair service. If you rented it from home you would have access to it the entire time, only using the airline's wheelchair service (if necessary) at your convenience.

If you are staying on Disney property you may be allowed to use one of their wheelchairs (at no charge if one is available...which is totally unpredictable, but great on the pocketbook if one actually IS available) from an onsite resort. If you have to rent one each day in the parks I think it is about $8 a day.
