I wake up before the wake up call, make a pot of coffee (the requested coffee maker came while we were out the night before), take a shower and go out to the balcony with my book. It is a beautiful morning, the sun is starting to shine, it is warm , the view is pretty, it is peacefull, my foot is better. I have a plan to send Dan home if I need to. I read awhile. When I hear the wake up call I go back into the room. Dan answers the phone, I see him grin. I ask him who it was and he tells me it was Mickey, that there are "big doings going on" and that we better get "up and at 'em". My boys love the wake up call. Nick gets up then and goes to take a shower. While he does I talk to Dan about his behavior the night before and tell him that he can go home if he doesnt want to be here, if he cant act like part of the family and compromise about what we do. He is shocked that I think he isnt having fun, he wants to stay and says he will try to be less obnoxious. He then adds that we (Nick and I) are at fault for the night before, not him. I give him a look and he says "never mind".
We leave the hotel to go to MGM via boat, and only wait a few seconds for it to come. We go on Star Tours first and all agree that this ride could never get old. We the do Muppets and agree again that this is always fun. We go and do Sounds Dangerous, which we enjoy. When we come out, Pinnochio, Geppeto and the bad guy cat are in front. I take a picture with the boys and Pinnocho and they go stand next to the cat, which surprises me since we dont even know the cats name. When we are fininished with the pictures, they tell me that they felt bad for the cat because know one was having their picture taken with him. Does anyone know the cats name?? We walk to get a fastpass for Who Wants to be a Millonaire and there is no wait, we walk right in as a game is about to begin. The set looks so much like the tv show and the people are so calm in the hot seat, my kids are amazed. They decide they better not answer too quickly because they dont want to be in the hot seat. They are somewhat humbled when the top ten participants are listed and none of us are in there. They then try to be faster. We never make but have a lot of fun. As we pass by the ABC Commisary, they decide it looks like a good place to eat lunch. We use 2 of our Quick and Casual lunch vouchers. Nick gets Yakatori Chicken, water and lemon meringue pie, Dan gets fish and chips and chocolate cream pie and a bottle of water, I get a Tabuleh wrap and ice tea. We save about $5 with the voiuchers and the food is good. Next we decide to go to the Great Movie Ride. The sign says 5 minutes, thats good. We wait forever, they are operating at reduced capacity, it is very warm in there, the air is not very cold. We debate whether to leave and decide to wait it out. It was ok, not worth all that waiting but we enjoyed it. At this point Dan wants to go to Downtown Disney, Nick doesnt care and I do not. I hate to shop, how my kids became such shopping loving little consumers, I will never understand. Nick decides to go with Dan, I say I am going back to the hotel, then in a sudden impulse decide I will stay at MGM and do TOT. I have never done this, I am a total wimp when it comes to rides and dont know where this impulse came from. My kids look at me like I just said something totally bizare. Nick asks would I like them to stay with me, I tell them no, I am fine go and meet back at the hotel. They are looking at me like I've lost my senses. I get a fast pass, have about 20 minutes to kill so I go and get a lemonade, do some window shopping then sit and people watch. I go to check the time and a nice young British fellow, gives me a fastpass for right then, which I take. I am in line in back of three teenagers, 2 boys and a girl and as we get closer they start teasing me about the ride, in a nice way. I do the ride, love it and am surprised the fall is as smooth as it is.
I walk to the boat and there is Nick. Turns out they waited for the bus to DTD which doesnt run until 3 from MGM, a CM gave them an alternate route, but Nick decided to go back to the hotel. He was amazed I did the TOT AND liked it! Once we got back to the YC we went to Beaches and Cream and Nick got a chocolate milkshake. I got a coke. We went back to the room and waited fro Dan. He was back pretty quickly and was as happy as could be because he found the comic book he was looking for at Virgin Mega Store. We hung out for awhile, Dan was hungry so he and I went to Beaches and Cream and used 2 more of the vouchers. We both got lime rickeys, veggie burgers and he got a banana split to go. It was HUGE.And he ate the entire thing. We saved about $8 this time.
We decided to go back to EPCOT, walked th Japan (AGAIN), I went to the American pavillion, loistened to American Vibes, which was great and then watched the show, whhic was kind of corny but very satisfying. Met up with the boys, walked to China, the Tapestry of Nations was just starting so I watched while they looked around in the store. I love that parade. I could stand right in the front because there wernt any crowds at all. I got a QQ Bubble tea to drink because somehow I woke up totally adventurous. It tasted like strawberry milk kind of, and the young man was right, it was more refreshing then Coke. We went to Mexico and rode that ride, which we hadnt done in a couple of years. Then we walked back to the YC.
We changed into our bathing suits and went to SAB, what a great pool! As we got there, we could see the fireworks from EPCOT, it was wonderful. There were tubes floating around for use so I went to get in one, somehow managed to miss and went under. It was funny. The lifegaurd kept an eye on me after that which was even funnier. We spent a couple hours swimming and went back to go to sleep. It was a great day.
