A friend of ours here in Arizona refused to get trip insurance for a cruise to Canada, saying he had Medicare, why would he need trip insurance? Medicare does not cover problems outside the states. Before he retired he was an insurance salesman. oh well. His wife had a bad tooth ache on our cruise but toughed it out til they got home. I do hope they had some sort of dental coverage.

Maybe he though that "free" Canadian health care would apply to him too?
