What's Your Work Commute Time???

1½ minutes usually, but I've timed my best at 45 seconds when the one stop light was green :D

Just a couple minutes for me ~ I live exactly one mile from work!

Wow ~ ~ ~ those of you that have the one and two hour commutes really need to consider moving. By the time you drive to work, then work and drive home you have no time to enjoy your family or yourself ~ YIKES!!

4mins each way - about 1.5miles away
after commuting 20miles each way for 12yrs this is great

I'm very fortunate because I live quite close to my office (and that's hard to come by in the Atlanta area). My commute is about 20 minutes each way, and I think it's about 7 miles each way. I don't have to get on the freeway which saves me a lot of time. :)

Do we have the record?!!

It takes me 1 and a half minutes to walk to work, my 10 year old 1 minute to walk to school and my husband 2 minutes to walk to work!! We live in a small town, around 2500 people but we live very close to our work, it just happened like that, it's not that we're lazy or anything!! we only need the car at weekends so we are very lucky!

since I got transfered to my new location it is 4 1/2 minutes from my driveway to the parking lot, my old location was about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic

in the morning with no traffic and anywhere from 30 to 75 minutes to get home:eek:  thats for a 16 mile drive!!

It takes me about 20 min. There is usually not too much traffic in the mornings until I get to DD's school. That usually slows me down a bit.

It takes me about 7 seconds to walk from my bedroom to my home office. ;)

After 16 years of at least hour-long commutes each way (typical in Southern California) I have been blessed with NO commute for the past few years. :)

DH has a 1 1/2-2 hour commute each way depending on traffic. He hates it , but loves his job.

Another lucky one here..........
there are days when it would be quicker to walk than drive, it's about 1/2 mile if I walked, but due to gated private developments the drive is about a mile with one stop sign that can cause "delays". ;)

Don't have a commute and I don't mind one bit.

5-10 minutes (sometimes longer if with one or more trains going through).

I was just talking about this with someone here at work.

Takes me anywhere from 2 - 2 1/2 hours door-to-door (there are days when it's taken even LONGER than that, but those are unusual, thankfully.)

All I have to say is....

Why?
