What's Your Work Commute Time???

I'm about 45 minutes away during good traffic. Usually takes me about 60 minutes once I've gotten on the bus etc.

those of you that have the one and two hour commutes really need to consider moving.

That's easier said than done in major metro areas like New York and SoCal. It all depends on what tradeoffs you're willing to make. My best friend, a Manhattan lawyer, gave up a 30-minute commute for a 90-minute trek just so he and his wife could have more space at an affordable price. He leaves home at 6:00am doesn't get home until 10p.m. For some people having a big house with a big yard is worth a long commute. Personally that's not my style, but a lot of people do it.

And by the way, my commute is 15 minutes.

I don't have a commute because I stay at home with my daughter. My husband takes the bus to work and it only takes about 15 minutes door to door with minimal traffic.

We live in a suburb. Seven miles to the office - approximately 12 minutes on a normal day -- approximately 18 minutes in a good snow storm.

When I lived in the City, it was 3 miles, 5 minutes.

Hey, you sometimes have to make sacrifices .

My new job is 35 miles away but it only takes 35-45 minutes.

My old job was 12 miles away and took about 30 minutes

It takes me five minutes to get from my doorstep to the school I work at. Guess who lives in a small town!?!
