We live in Ohio so no outdoor lawn watering or anything. Our water bill for the past 3 months is $171. The previous 3 months was $141. We are a family of 7 (2 adults& 5 kids ages 5 to 16) so I know that makes a difference.

Would you mind sharing how many in your family and what your water bill is for a 3 month period? Also, is this just for water use indoors? I feel our bill is high and just want to see how much other people pay.

Well we moved a few years back to our new house in the woods lol
so we are on a well pump.

Our old house was in the city and had city water there were four of us
so that's 4 showers a night + the dishwasher + washer and washing two trucks a week.

Total bill was around $70.00 to 85.00 per month. ( that's also with trash pickup )

Ron.

We're on city water, but our bill includes trash and recycling. We pay about $50 - $60/month. We have 6 in our family. Our rates have recently increased though. We used to pay closer to $40/month about a year ago. And, it's increasing next month AGAIN by 10%. UGH.

Wow. We are a family of four. Tons of laundry, dishwasher, and my long showers daily. Between 40-45 dollars a month, pretty steady. Do have some months below that though. Gosh, guess I got it good!:cool1:

Our utilities is billed every 2 months. We are also a family of 7, 2 adults and 5 kids ranging in ages 10 to 16. Our bill usually runs around 110.00. We don't water lawns (even in the summer months) or do anything unusual except maybe run the dishwasher everynight and the washer everyday, sometimes several times a day. :laundy:

Oh, forgot, our bill includes water and sewer. Trash is 50 every 3 months.

Yikes! :scared1: I don't know about just water, as our bill includes water, trash, recycling and sewage. During the winter, for 2 adults, we pay about $45. During the summer we water more. Where we are we have major drought issues, so all watering comes from our pipes...no nature freebies. But we're on a small lot (seriously, our back yard is only about 60'x30'), no sprinkler system, or pool. Still, the most expensive bill we've had in the summer was about $65.

We're on city water, a family of 5 - 2 adults, 3 kids and our bills are $35-40 a month, so that's $105-$120 a quarter.

Our water and sewage bill is $230.00 every 3months!!!! We live a township where they were fined (not sure why exactly something about dumping raw sewage somewhere)over 30 yrs ago and they never paid it so guess who's paying it now?? Ya you got it we are!!!! I hate paying that bill infact I do not pay it any sooner than when its due I go to the office they same day its due to pay it!!!!

Okay, I live in NJ and our water was raised about 10 months ago. During the summer months (we water the garden, grass and also have a pool) so every 3 months is about $225-250. During the winter months it ranges from $150-$175 every 3 months...looks like I am one of the highest.

DH and I, on Columbus city water and sewage in our apartment. Average is $31/month. We run dishwasher about 1/wk and do about 4 loads of laundry a week.

I have well water, but i am in the process of switching to city water via a mandatory annex that cost me $1800 so far for water lines. i now pay for just the sewage portion until the entire road gets all their water lines too and they turn us on and it is $48 a month for just sewage.

There are 7 of us as well, 2 adults and 5 kids (ages 4-12). Our bill averages $45 per month. The highest it's been is $55 the month my landlord powerwashed our house (she also gave us a discount on our rent to offset that). Alot of months there are only 6 of us, though, DH travels alot.

I run the dishwasher every day and usually hand wash some about twice a week. During the winter three of my kids only bathe every other day because of dry skin, I think that helps. I do 2-3 loads of laundry every day. We haven't lived here during the summer yet, I'm sure it will go up higher then when the kids are playing in water outside and we're showering more, but there will be less laundry because we won't be layering to keep warm.

ETA: I'm in a small town in NC

We just moved into our house recently, so we're still getting into the swing of things. For the two of us, we spend about $20-25 a month, and we're on septic so we don't pay for sewer. I'm trying to cut back more on our usuage, but we wash the car about once a month, and have to water outside. However, they are trying to pass a law here saying you can't wash your car at home. :scared1: I couldn't imagine how dirty my car will get if they pass that into law.

I try to do a lot to conserve water ... I think one of the coolest "tips" I have ever heard of is resuing the bath water from your kids bath to water your plants. It hasn't hurt them ... and our veggies don't taste funky either.

Well, We live within the 128 belt here in Massachusetts, are our local officials had a wonderful idea that everybody within this loop would pay for the Boston Harbor Cleanup. My understanding is they slipped this law/motion right passed everybody. Our bills use to be quarterly, but now they have changed for every 2 months:

$96.90 Per Individual ($484.50 Family of 5) *This is every two months
$94.35 Per Individual ($471.75 Family of 5) *This is every two months
$84.15 Per Individual ($420.75 Family of 5) *This is every two months

We have a three story home and we split our water bill five ways, so I have two categories above...The first number is per indivual and second number is for entire household. They also split up the entire household number into water and sewage, and typically our sewage is 2/3 of the bill now. Yeppers, That is our bi-monthly bill for the entire household...

I just had to post here, It seems like I may be the highest yet!!!
On average:
Water---$65 each month
Sewer/Trash pickup---$60

So that would be average $360 every 3 months!!!

I live about 50 miles south of Chicago, and I want out of here!!!

We are a family of 3. We spend about $15-$18 a month on water. We are also on Septic so no sewer charge. We don't water the grass or wash the cars. We are on a watering ban.

when we lived in town our water and sewer bill was over 300 every three months. When we moved in nine years earlier it was usualy about 80 every three months. That was one off the reasons I was more than happy to move out of town.

county water runs us around $35-$50 per month. depends on the month. our sprinkles are off the canal so that saves us some money.

Our water bill is about $15 a month for two people. I thought this month's bill was high, and it was only $18. We have a septic system, so there is no sewer bill.
