What's your stratgey for what ADR on what day.

What plan do you have for chosing where to eat on what day? Do you find out the Extra magic hours first? Special events?

I don't do Extra Magic Hours, but I do decide which park I want to visit and on what day. Then I see what time the fireworks are or anything else that is time specific. Then I decide where to eat.

I try to keep travel to a minimum and allow enough time to get to the restaurant without stressing out my family.

The way I tend to do it is first of all decide where I definately want to eat. Then look at whether I'd prefer lunch or dinner there. Then look at park times and if anything else is going on such as special events. I then try to arrange things around where I'm likely to be at that time of day. For example on certain days Wishes doesn't run (when they have special events over at Magic Kingdom) so if I'm not going to the special event I'll not book a Magic Kingdom meal for late in the afternoon as I'll want to head over to a different park. Alternatively I might choose to book a resort meal after the park closes around Magic Kingdom so that I can combine transport and not need to go too far to dinner. As some parks I spend less time in such as MGM I always arrange meals to be either not too early or not too late so I can park hop either side of it so for example if doing MGM in the morning and EPCOT in the evening I might plan a 2pm lunch at MGM before heading over to EPCOT. Does involve more planning these days due to ADR's being so popular now.

I using the touring plans website and go by their recommendation as to the best parks to go to on what days. I then set up a schedule of where we're going to be and then pick out restaurants we want to eat at it.
