Hi Disney people!

Going to disney 11th of june staying at the sequoia lodge for 4 nts with my DH, DD age 4 1/2 and son 19 months.
We intend to take it pretty easy ,i have a rough plan on where to eat & things but would like to hear others plans for inspiration especially those with young children!!!

Will you skip breakfast for EMH? return for breakfast late? How many times will you be doing EMH/ watching dreams? do you return to hotel for a rest?
What time will you have your meals? snack for lunch? or snack for tea? all that sort of stuff, like mini schedule pre trip report

Thanks!

Hi,

We're also going in June and taking our 5 year old DD and 3 year old DS. We went when they were 3 & 18m too and most days had an early breakfast (7am) and then headed straight to the parks for EMH.
I'm not sure we'd bother with EmH if it was just DH and I, but as most of the children's favourite rides are open during this time (buzz, Peter pan and dumbo in particular!) it's well worth the early start as we find standing in the long queues for these rides later on with small children isn't much fun!

We took afternoon naps back at our hotel last time and will definitely do so again this time with dreams being so late. We are planning on having a few lazy afternoons by the pool hopefully too, so even if they don't want to sleep for long we can rest our feet a little!
Your plan to have an idea of what you want to do is pretty much what we do to. I have a planner with the 'key things to see' set out so we don't miss things but we like to just take it easy really and managed that last time even with the little ones.

Meals wise... We tend to have one large meal per day, usually lunchtime but dragging it til as late as poss (which isn't very with toddlers!) usually around 2pm. That way the kids aren't too tired to eat a large meal like they would be later on and we just grab a sandwich at the train station upon leaving the park (we also take snacks such as cereal bars, crisps and fruit with us from home) buffets worked really well for us in the past as there was always something we'd all like and the kids weren't just eating junk then.

Hope that helps! It's so much fun going with little ones and I'm sure you'll all have an amazing time :)

I have 3 little ones.... 9, 6 & 4.

So far my plan is - No naps back at the hotel throughout the day (Non of us normally nap during the day) but i'm sure one of the little ones will end up napping in the pushchair at one point during the day if they get really tired and as many EMH as possible. Aiming to be at breakfast for 7-8am every morning (Cheyenne & one morning at the Disneyland Hotel).

Here is what i'm planning for each day -

Watching Fantillusion & Dreams.

Hoping to stick to this as much as poss.

We go at the end of this month.

We're just the two of us, so we don't have to plan around little ones (probably the last trip we can say that for :scared: )

But even so here is what we plan to do:

EMH every day. We'll enjoy EMH 8am-9/9.30 then head back to HNY for our breakfast (I can't eat as soon as I get up.)

Then we'll return to the parks for a while until early afternoon.

Grab some lunch in the village before going back to the hotel to nap/relax.

Ready to head out again at maybe 6/7/8 and then stay in the parks until closing so we can watch Dreams each night.

EMH and Dreams are the reason I'm going. And I know without a break I'd only be able to do one day without needing a lie in or early night.

We're going in a couple of weeks and so far my plan is....

Sunday - arrive at lunchtime. Dinner at Agrabah Cafe. As we won't have had a very early start and will have sat on the train for two hours we'll hopefully stay up for Dreams. Probably won't see the parade.

Monday - 7am breakfast then EMH. Lunch at Blue Lagoon. Parade at 7pm. Counter service tea. May stay up for Dreams but probably not.

Tuesday - No EMH. Breakfast at DLH then over to Studios for the day. May stay up for Dreams again.

Wednesday - 7am breakfast then EMH. Eurostar home at 6pm.

I have yet to plan a trip to Disney, I like to go with the flow. All I intend to do is find out where we want to eat each day & book it in the morning in the hotel.

We will break the day up & come back and go swimming seeing as the park is open till 11pm when we are there:thumbsup2

The problem I find with going back to the hotel for breakfast after EMH is the long queues at bag search when we return to the park later in the morning. It kind of puts me off doing that.

We are going in June too for 5 days:goodvibes

I haven't got very far with the plans yet but I think most mornings we will eat breakfast before EMH and have a sit down meal as a late lunch and then grab a counter service meal / snack in the evening.

I like to plan what we are doing first after EMH each morning and so far we have on the list parachutes, crush, Autopia and princess pavillion (if it goes back to being open first thing!) Other than that we normally have one or two other must dos each day and go with the flow. :goodvibes

We will try to watch dreams twice while we are there and on those days we will be napping/resting in the afternoon.
