Whats your "must have" for a souvenior?

A Christmas ornament. All of the ornaments on our tree have some significance so it's always a walk down memory lane to decorate our tree. And we have an ornament (or more) for each Disney trip we've made.

I get a sweatshirt every trip. I never pack one with me, and buy it on the first night I am there. But one trip I couldn't find any sweatshirts smaller than a XXL, and I wear a M or L, so I went without a sweatshirt for the first two nights until I finally found one on our third night.

I usually get a pin with the year on it and a Chip and Dale pin. A bag of the chocolate covered Mickey pretzels. Sometimes a t-shirt or a nightshirt or if something different and fun catches my eye like an ornament or scrapbooking stuff.

I love the silhouette idea some of the OP's have mentioned. I somehow always forget to go back and have one done. Does anyone know what the cost is?

When I was younger I would get a t-shirt and a plush (always Eeyore) each trip. But now I like to get pins. I have some for trading, but each trip I like to buy a pin that really sums up my trip or something special that happened. I keep them on a board, as a pin-sort of scrapbook. :goodvibes

We have been two times as a family and picked up the baseballs with the year on them. Are those still available? DD has always picked out a Minnie plush dressed as one of the princesses. I like to get an antenna topper and those washcloths that expand when you get them wet. For our upcoming trip we are going to do some pin trading for the first time and we want to add to our potato head parts. I really try to find things that are unique to Disneyland.

Oh I forgot to add an ornament. Always get a special one to help us remember our trip. :)

We always get a magnet with the year on it for the fridge and I get a souvenir travel mug from the coffee carts. Best deal for $5 comes filled with coffee:)
DS get a hat and a Mickey Mouse plush. It's funny how after a few trips, you just have to have those particular items to make the trip complete!

A magnet for the fridge (we get one from every vacation, Disney or not, that we go on--we've done this ever since our honeymoon), Potato Head parts, and silhouettes of the children.

Oooh, thought of one more! We buy a big Mickey bread head on the afternoon of our last day and bring it home on the plane. We have the bread with dinner over the next couple of days to keep a bit of Disney going on for us.

Between the Christmas Ornament(s) my wife has to snag a piece of ART.

We like buying a glass(drinking) every vacation we have so for sure next month we will be getting a Disney glass :)

I must be really weird because I don't like buying souveniors. I am particular about how much "stuff" I have in the house--so I don't like buy extra clutter. I like going to disneyland and thinking about it--but I don't like displaying "disney" items in my home. Same thing for clothes--I love everything about disneyland--but I never want to wear it (especially at home if we are not there). One time I almost bought a hoodie jacket there because it was really cold and I needed on that trip (forgot to pack one)--but it smelled so bad (that sort of new clothes-dye smell) that I knew I wouldn't want to wear it until it was washed anyway. The one thing I did buy that was nice was a christmas ornament, but it broke after the first year.

Popcorn bucket :rotfl: my family LOVES remembering Disney every time we watch a movie; we bring out the popcorn buckets and feel a little Disney magic....we're going in 2 weeks and also in November, I hope they will be different

I think only one other poster to the thread mentioned my number-one answer: snowglobes. I have no idea why I'm drawn to these more than any other trinket (obviously, the artistry is incredible), but I really love the snowglobes. I haven't gotten all the ones I'd like, but we have the Villains snowglobe, the massive Fantasia snowglobe, Cinderella and Prince Charming, and a few smaller ones like the recreation of the Toy Story 2 scene where Woody jumps on the record player.

Most of the other suggestions, such as shirts and mugs, are also favorites for both my wife and I. But those snowglobes are my favorites.

Ears, Silhouettes of kiddos and something that reminds me of that trip. For example, last time my FAVORITE (which DH has broken) was a shot glass from ToT. My DS4 had gone on that ride and could NOT stop talking about how brave he was and how much he loved it. He made us go on it like 5 times in a row. I couldn't help but buy something ToT. (Wish I could still find it and get a replacement :( )

For our honeymoon I got us sweatshirts. Seems dumb but it was April and we figured cali would be niiiiiice. Not so much. We were frozen. LOL

My girls love to get charms for their bracelets.

I always get a bag of Mickey truffles.

At the holidays, I buy the Mickey gingerbread kits that come with a little Mickey cookie cutter.

Nothing much beyond that unless I run across something unusual or one of those things that catches your fancy. In that category I have:
*a ToT pin that is in the shape of a hotel key and a Mad tea party pin (cool 3D with spinning cups)
*a ToT bathrobe (love it!!!! thanks so much to my sister and 2 DIS friends for buying it for me since I've wanted it forever!)
*tile with a tree on it from GCH

As a kid, I always wanted something from the glassblowers. I had a pirate ship, a Tinkerbell, and a small castle. I finally got a personalized crystal mug last year after wanting one for about 40 years.

I have some old things from many years ago...things you'd never find in DL today :sad2: because it's all so much more generic. I have a gold parrot (ceramic) from the old shop near Pirates, Royal Doulton porcelain Alice and Cheshire cat figurines, a crystal and glass magic wand from the Magic shop and a few other things like that.

I am always drawn to the HM pins that change like the portraits in the ride when you hold up a little black light to them (which you can purchase separately). I can't bring myself to spend the $50 for them, though.

A couple of years ago my sis and I bought a bottle of Magicale.

2 of my girls and dh buy ears. I buy a popcorn bucket. Oldest dd likes to buy shirts. This trip will be our first for pins. I also plan on buying the R2D2 parfait cup since it is sooo cute.
