My middle name is Alice after a great great grandmother. Also, my Mom, grandma and great grandma share the same middle name.

Mine's Marie too. My mom's name is Mary, and she thought Marie was closest to it. I have 3 sisters and a neice all with the same middle name!

My middle name is Merie. I was named after my mom's only brother, Thomas Matthew, who passed away 6 months before I was born. I was named Tommi Merie after him...and because my mom said didn't want any *common/boring* names.

Ann...after my grandmother...much too common a name as I found out the hard way.

Once, after a very long absence I went to re-activate my hotmail account. I could not get in. I was led to a site that asked me a bunch of questions, including my grandmothers name, to enable me to make a new password.

Turns out there was another woman with the same name as mine and the same grandmother's name. After changing the password, I ended up in her mailbox.



And there was nothing I could do about it. No point in emailing her to tell her...thanks to me changing her password, she could not longer access her email. I think of her often.

I carry that guilt along with so many others.........sigh

Mine is also Marie!! Popular middle name!! Named after my grandmother Mary(father's side) but my mother came from French Canadian descendants so the french pronunciation is Marie.

Since I got married, I've been using my maiden name as my middle.

The middle name I was given when I was born was Maria...I think it's a family name.

After giving me the first name Cassandra, my parents had to give me something short and boring for a middle name, so I got "Lynn." I now use my maiden name as my middle name.

Mine's Elizabeth. My friends all tease me when they find out because my initials are HES. But anyway. I don't know where it came from. I guess my mom just liked it. She wanted to use one of the grandmother's names but they wouldn't let her.

Frances, named after my mom's sister who died a few years before I was born. Coincidently my Uncle/Godfather's (my dad's brother) middle name is Francis.

My sister named her second daughter Frances.

Andrena...it is my mom's middle name too. She got that name b/c my grandmother let my uncle name her.That was his girlfriend in kindegarten name! And now it is my DD's middle name as well!!
Wonder where that little girl from my uncle's class is now???
