What's your middle name and why were you named that?

My grandmother named me, so she gave me her middle name. I don't like my middle name, so I won't say it.;) My middle name is also my SO's aunt's middle name and it was his mom's middle name too.

Marie

Story behind my name. My grandmother's name is Martina, and my mom wanted to name me after her. So she took the Tina and made it my first name, then took mar and added ie

Tina Marie:p

That is pretty interesting. We don't have that in my family, but I was born on my 2nd great grandmum's birthday!

Wonder where that little girl from my uncle's class is now???

You know that Robin William's daughter's name is Zelda-after the game-I think his son came up with it LOL.

Originally posted by faithinkarma Once, after a very long absence I went to re-activate my hotmail account. I could not get in. I was led to a site that asked me a bunch of questions, including my grandmothers name, to enable me to make a new password.

Turns out there was another woman with the same name as mine and the same grandmother's name. After changing the password, I ended up in her mailbox.

:scared1:

And there was nothing I could do about it. No point in emailing her to tell her...thanks to me changing her password, she could not longer access her email. I think of her often.

I carry that guilt along with so many others.........sigh

LOL

As for my MN-I like it, but I'm kind of tired of it. I wish my parents gave me more MNs so that I could pick anotehr one to go by. I have been through three names so far.

Allen,, same as dad and every other first born male in generations as far back as we can go on dads side,, grandad great granddad, great great,, all the first boys are something allen's..lol

Mine is Lynn, because my parents said that if I ever became something uppity professional (they prefer to use the example of a Judge), I could always go by Lynn which they considered to be more formal than Jodie (which pretty much my whole family is named in some form or other). Whatever!

My middle name is Diane and I have no idea why my mother gave me that name....I don't know why she gave me the name Katholyn, either :)

Mine is Ann. I just thought all girls middle names were Ann!:scratchin

Mine is also Anne; it was a very common middle name in the 50s; I estimate that at least 30-40 % of the girls I knew had it in one form or another.

Lynn . Cause they had nothing else to go with Mishell I guess?

I always said that Lynn, Marie and Renee are the names you get when your folks cant think of anyhing else :teeth:

Here's another Lynne. They chose that because they felt it went well with my first name which I don't care for. I would have liked Lynne as a first name better. We also gave DD the middle name Lynne.

My middle name is Kathryn, I was named after my father's sister.

My middle name is Lynn - I have no idea why:confused:

My DD#1's middle name is Irene after my grandmother of whom I deeply love and respect.

My DD#2's middle name is Julia after my DH's grandmother.

Both of these grandmothers are still alive and were thrilled by the girls sharing a part of them both.

My middle name is Deon. Same as my mother's. My grandma named her that because her own two brother were Leon and Dewayne (sp?).

My middle name is Spencer I was given it by my dad and it was after my uncle (dads brother) He was killed in a car accident when I was 4. My son was named Spencer after my uncle my sone was born on the same day as my uncle and within 2 hours of my uncles birth time.

Marie is my middle name. As is my grandmother's, my aunt's, and so many other female relatives that I can't keep track! But, to keep with tradition, our oldest daughter's middle name is Marie, too!

MY middle name is Edward, after my father....who shares a very famous name...Ed Sullivan

I had a VERY famous last name, but alas...

My middle name is Elizabeth - just because my Mom liked it. :D
But now I use my maiden name (Wilder) as my middle name - and yes, I did get teased in school . . . she's WILDER than anyone! (which I wasn't)

My parents didn't give my sister a middle name - they figured she could pick one she liked when she was old enough (I think they just couldn't come up with something they liked to go with Alison). ;) I forgot - she chose Lynn!

My brother's middle name is Andrew, which in my middle son's first name! His middle name is Bennett (for my grandfather), so his initials are ABS (anti-lock brakes)! :p
