What's your Memorial Day Weekend itinerary?

Let's share plans and ideas!!!

So far, here's our plan.......


Friday morning -6am- leave!
-Arrive about 9am at BC- check in
-Drive to DTD- lunch at Fulton's
-Back to BC around 1 or 2pm-swim at SAB till room is ready!
-Evening- boat to MGM-counter service dinner-maybe turkey legs!!!

Saturday-
-Sleep-in-something we've never done at WDW- Will probably mean sleeping until 6am!
-Breakfast at Cape May Cafe
-Swimming at SAB!!!!!!

-Evening at Epcot-dinner at Teppanyaki-Ds's favorite

Sunday-
-free morning- maybe Epcot FW
-SAB!
-Early Dinner at Cape May-DS to Sandacstle Club
-Walk around the Boardwalk!

Monday-
-breakfast at Spoodles
-pool time-home

Not a big "park" trip-mostly pool time
 
We are arriving May 29th & leaving June 18th

Here is what our Memorial weekend looks like:

Saturday, May 29th

Arrive at MCO @ 11:30am
Check into Pop
Go to DTD
Chef Mickey PS @ 5:30
We are seriously thinking of seeing SpectoMagic that night after our supper

Sunday, May 30th

Breakfast @ Cape May @ 8:00
MGM Day (Star Wars weekend)
Sci-Fi @ 1:00
We will be staying for Fantasmic that night

Monday, May 31st

Princess Storybook Breakfast @ 8:30
Epcot day
IllumiNations

We do not plan on going to Magic Kingdom during Memorial Weekend, unless we hit the SpectroMagic parade on Saturday night, but that would be the only thing we do in MK that evening.

Our first Magic Kingdom day will be Tuesday, June 1st...I am hoping the crowds are down a bit by then :)
 
Friday- Shopping with my sister at the Outlet mall
Dinner w/ my parents at their camper at FW. Do some walking around the campground and maybe over to WL

Sat - visit Epcot and the Flower & Garden Show
Lunch at Tangerine Cafe
Dinner with family at Concourse St.
Rtn to FW for more walking.


Sun - Brkst at Trails End. Head over to MGM for a few rides and lunch at Sci Fi. Return to the resort for some pool time. Light Dinner somewhere. Maybe MK that evening.

Mon - sleep in, Lunch at Konas or Beaches & Cream. Say Goodbye to everyone.

See you all there.
 
saturday...fly to orlando, check in at POFQ....dinner at ohanas...and then possibly goto MK for spectro or wishes

sunday...breakfastasauras at 8, day at AK, evening is free

monday...epcot...FW in the morning....WS in the evening....food at marrakesh is a definite at some point during this day

tuesday...going to MK hoping the crowds have thinned

wednesday ....MGM....dinner at H&W with the fantasmic package

thursday...morning is free....wife is booked at the GF spa during the lunchtime hours for a massage and pedicure....then son goes to neverland club....we have PS for the california grill at 8....plan ot watch wishes from up there.....this day is our 9th anniversary

friday....MK...lunch at crystal palace

saturday...maybe go back to AK as dinosaur will be back open...we leave late afternoon :^(

I know this is more than memorial day, but I felt like typing it out and looking at my plans again:mad:
 

Jacksonsmom we are also planning on MK on Tuesday. This thread has me wondering though - please help Disney experts -- Is the MK crowded on Memorial Day? I know the books say yes - but I am wondering if everyone assumes it will be crowded so people stay away and it actually isn't that bad?

Thurs 27th - depart after work and drive drive drive...
Fri 28th - check into Safari for sleep and swim
Sat 29th - Bfast at AKL, Dinner at 'Ohanas w/swim & shop day
Sun 30th - Free Day ???
Mon - Free Day
Tues - MK

I don't know, this is our first trip during Memorial weekend. I am curious what others say about the crowds at MK on Memorial Day!!
 
Unfortunately most of our park time is over the hooiday weekend. DH has a conference starting Wed.

Thurs 5/27 fly down, check in to CSR late -- 11pm ish

Friday 5/28 AK with late lunch at RFC. Evening at MK & watch Spectro

Sat 5/29 MGM morning, pool afternoon, Epcot evening

Sun 5/30 MK until it gets too crowded Crystal Palace PS at 11:30. Pool. MGM evening to see what we missed Sat. & late showing of Fantasmic

Memorial Day 5/31 Epcot then switch over to MK.

Tues 6/1 Tentatively MK then switch to Epcot. Will use this to see whatever we missed / want to see again.

Wed 6/2 Pool. DQ in late afternoon for me and DDs. Meet DH for dinner at DTD

Thurs 6/3 Late Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Pool in afternoon. Evening -- priviate event at US for DH's conference.

Friday 6/4 fly back

This is our first time to WDW so I realize we are going to need to stay flexible.

Driving over after work, hopefully arriving at OKW around 7:00 pm Friday night.

Saturday night - Poly Luau at 8:00
Sunday night - California Grill at 9:00
Monday - gotta hit EPCOT before we leave...

We may catch a movie some time during the weekend ... just going to relax...
 
Day one: May 30th Sunday
Arrive in Orlando at 12:15pm
Town car will take us to grocery store and liquor store before arriving at hotel.
If room is not ready leave bags with front desk.
Hang out at hotel pool and explore hotel.
Invite Maryann (my aunt who lives in Daytona) over & have dinner at Trails End Buffeteria
Go to Pleasure Island for the night

Day two: May 31st Monday
Sleep in and hang out around the hotel and pool.
Head over to Disney Quest for the night.
McDonalds @ Downtown Disney for dinner

Day three: June 1st Tuesday
Segway class in Epcot 8:45am
Tour Epcot
2:50pm Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grill Restaurant
Dinner @ Pop

Day four: June 2nd Wednesday
Arrive at Animal Kingdom early
Grab a quick bite to eat for lunch while transferring over to MGM
Dinner @ Sci fi 6:10pm

Day five: June 3rd Thursday
Magic Kingdom! – Early Magic Hour 5:40pm Dinner @ Liberty Tree

Day six: June 4th Friday
Mini golf
Blizzard Beach
Harry Potter 3 @ AMC Pleasure Island

Day seven: June 5th Saturday
Check out of hotel at 11am – leave bags at front desk till departure
Town car arrives at 12:35pm
Leave Orlando at 2:35pm


Any tips or advice??
 
Saturday-arrive in Tampa at 3:30 p.m. Drive over to Orlando, check into Condo and possibly go to the city walk that night.

Sunday- AK first thing/MGM afternoon and evening

Monday-Epcot

Tuesday-MK.... HOPING THE CROWDS HAVE THINNED OUT! :) (I think it's going to be crowded b/c EVERYONE'S going to go on Tuesday thinking that the crowds have thinned out)

Wed-Sunday -Universal/IOA days plus some sight-seeing and relaxing
 
We arrive Thur May 27th late.
We check into the Contemporary

Friday, May 28th, we will hit Universal (we havent been in years)

Sat. May 29th, we will do Magic Kingdom, pool time and back to Magic Kingdom

Sun, May 30th, MGM in the Morning for Star Wars and pool time and Epcot in the evening for the Flower Show and Concerts

Monday, 31st, go back to any of our favorites, we have a late flight out.
 
Our dates this year are May 29-June 12.
Arrive late may 29--Pop Century
May 30 check into BWV--MGM for Star Wars weekend. Dinner at Pepper Market
May 31 sleep in. Lunch at Planet Hollywood. Swim in the afternoon
Hopefully the crowds will be gone after Monday.

Chuck-PA.....You will have a blast at US or IOA. My family prefers IOA because of all the great rides. But we also love MIB and T3 at US--plus some of the older stuff as well.
 
We arrive at 6pm on Friday, May 28. We plan to be checked into Sog by 7:30 pm. Have a PS at the Steakhouse in the CR at 8 pm. Want to watch fireworks from Poly's beach.

Saturday, May 29, early day at MK depending on crowds. Lunch at SoG. Dinner at Ohana's evening at Epcot.

Sunday, May 30, EE day at MK, break with dinner at Wilderness Lodge, then over to Epcot to see Off-Kilter and Illluminations.

Monday, May 31, breakfast at Sog then over to AK, lunch at Tusker House or Beaches and Cream. Dinner at Pepper Market, Evening with the crowds at MK.

Tuesday - lunch at Epcot......TBP (to be planned)

Wednesday - leave.
 
Arrive May 29th and check in to Beach Club Villas. Go to Stormalong Bay and Downtown Disney to kill time. Otherwise relax go food shopping. May 30th, relax, pool, minature golf, pool. May 31st, Chef Mickey's breakfast, pool, relax. June 1st MK/EPCOT. June 2nd AK/MK dinner at Cinderella's. June 3rd relax. June 4th MGM Star Wars and EPCOT in the late afternoon. June 6th relax at the pool and check out.

Limited time in the parks but plan to go to all of them at least for a few things.

I can't wait to go.
 
Wow! I see there's quite a few of you going to be at Epcot on the 31st. That's our plan also. We hope to get to WDW by 1pm Sun. 30th and hang out at the Coronada resort until we try to fight the crowds to see the parade at MK. We've haven't been in the summer yet. So I guess we'll see how it goes.
 
Friday 28th: Arrive at 3:45 p.m. at MCO. Check in at Beach Club Villas. Dinner at Boma.

Sat. 29t: Epcot morning. Lunch at Coral Reef. MGM evening. Dinner at Brown Derby. Fantasmic.

Sun. 30th: Blizzard Beach. Dinner at Kona Cafe. Evening - MK and Spectromagic.

Mon. 31st: Universal / Islands of Adventure.

Tues. 1: Open.

Wed. 2 - leave for Key West!

We have been 3 years in a row over Memorial Day weekend and have not found terrible crowds overall, although its really good to get to the parks early. Last year we found MGM to be very crowded, and BB got quite packed even on the Wednesday after the holiday.
