Hi everyone,

Just curious to know what everyone likes to have for their "last meal" at Disney before going home?

I'm staying at the WL 12/15-12/22, and will have to be back at the hotel about 12:30 in the afternoon or so for ME on my final day (My flight is at 3:45). I'm trying to figure out what would be the best option for me. I was thinking of doing T-Rex in Downtown, but the earliest ressie is at 11, and I'm not sure if I'd make it back in time.
Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

For us its always a TS lunch at Epcot...we drive and its just 3 hours away so we eat lunch at 1, pick up a few snacks for the ride and then hit the road by 4

In Feb it was SAI, May it was VN and in Oct it will be VN again

A tradition for us: We always end each trip at the MK, so we always eat dinner at Tony's that night before getting a few more attractions in.

Our last meal will be lunch at Crystal Palace on the day we leave. Our flight doesn't leave until 7:00pm, so we have basically the whole day in MK.

I have this weird sorta tradition of always ending up at 50's prime time, it happened by chance the 1st 2 years, now i always make a point of booking it to keep the tradition alive going on 7 years now.

We usually leave for the airport at 3pm, so we usually have a last lunch at WPE at DTD.

It is always breakfast at O'Hanas so we can have one last chance to say goodbye to Mickey :)

'Ohana is always our last night tradition. Almost always our last lunch before we leave for the airport is Chefs de France.

We usually have a QS lunch either at the resort or the MK and get on the road by 12:30. This year we ate lunch at the QS at the GF and I had a burger and fries. We had the QS meal plan and my friends said we would be eating burgers and fries all week. It was the first burger and fries meal I had the entire trip!

We've only been one time so that time we did 1900 Park Fare and absolutely LOVED it. BUT I do think the next time it will be Chef Mickey's for breakfast on the final day. It just seems fitting.

We either do, brats and kraut in Germany, or Boulangerie in France.

We also try to do Ohana as our last evening, if we get in. On the last day its depends what time out flight is. Typically its a late flight so sometimes we'll do QS at our resort, both AKL and CBR have nice complete hot meals as QS. We like to eat as late as possible before DME. If we are lucky enough to have time in a park, we usually end with Epcot and a meal at Sunshine Seasons, they have a delicious roast pork dish. we prefer not to do a TS the day way leave so that we don't have to be locked into a time.

We usually drive out about 9 or 10 in the morning. The last few trips we stop at Earl of Sandwich for a quick bite. Hot, tasty, and a very nice final memory for the trip home. :thumbsup2

I know this is the opposite of what you asked, but we always start our trip with breakfast at Crystal Palace.

We don't have a tradition for our last meal just because we let the kids pick which park we go to on our departure day. When they were younger it was MK then DHS. This year I think it will be EPCOT.

Our last evening, we have dinner at 'Ohana. Our last breakfast before departing is either Cape May or Chef Mickey's, depending on where we're staying. When we went this past January, we broke tradition and had an early lunch at WPE. The food was delicious, but I missed the characters and the things you will ONLY experience at a special Disney World restaurant. My kids were really put-out with this. They have informed me that we are going to Chef Mickey's for our departure breakfast the next time we go...Thanksgiving weekend 2012! I told them that they would have to get up with me to be ready at 6:00 am 180 days beforehand, and I'd see what magic I could do on the ADR site! :wizard:

Since OP is staying at WL, might I suggest breakfast or an early lunch at Whispering Canyon? Or perhaps breakfast at 'Ohana at the Poly, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary, or Crystal Palace in MK (if you have a park pass for your last day), which are only a boat ride away? I'm afraid that a T-Rex lunch at DTD in just 1.5 hours including travel time to and from the WL is just about impossible.

Our last in-park meal is usually Liberty Tree Tavern. Then our actual final meal is at Kona Cafe for breakfast the next morning before driving to the airport.

We check out of our rooms and head to Animal Kingdom Lodge to have brunch at Boma's. It is a great way to end a trip.:cool1:

We like an early morning ADR at Crystal Palace on our last day. That way we can get into the MK bright and early. We can get that "empty Main Street USA" picture by the castle and ride our favorites one last time before heading back to the resort for our DME ride to the airport.;)
