What's your homepage?

I just dumped Google, wondering what to have my new homepage be. Yahoo seems too busy, and if I make it the Dis, I'll never get any farther when I get online!

So, what do you have set as your internet homepage? Anything really good out there?

You just said you dumped Google, but I use their iGoogle feature.

You can create your own start page with RSS feeds from just about anywhere. Mine has my gmail, google calendar, wikipedia search box, weather.com weather information, ESPN football news, etc.

I used Yahoo for years. Tried to use Google to take advantage of their calendar that syncs to my iPod Touch. Switched back to Yahoo after a few days and use Google Calendar by itself.

I only recently learned that your homepage can be a collection of tabs in IE8. I'll have to play around with that.

I have a "My Yahoo" homepage. You can customize it to whatever you want on there so you can make it less busy and have the things you want handy available. We have the local movie theater schedule, tv schedule, weather and sports scores on ours.

Blank. Always blank. When I open a browser window, I don't want it to waste time loading anything until I tell it what I want to load.

Yes, I had quite a happy little homepage set up this way. But the past few days, there has been a glitch in gmail that has proven an utter disaster for me. When I went to cancel my gmail account and keep my igoogle, they made it so frustrating that I just dumped the whole thing. I'm sure that showed them ;)

Hmm, I'll have to play with that. I couldn't quickly see how to do it when I first went there, but knowing that I can makes me want to try again. Were you able to get rid of the annoying ads?

I dumped Google also. I now have Bing as my homepage. I love the pictures they post. www.bing.com

Cool! I like the lion that is on there right now.

Good point. Maybe I should just go with that....

So many choices. I guess I can try different ones for awhile and then decide. Thanks, ya'll!

There are no ads on the My Yahoo home pages. If you go to the Yahoo site and find the "my yahoo" button you can sign up there. It comes preloaded with a bunch of things but you can pick and chose what you want though the settings area or what ever it is called.

I use Google as my homepage. It only takes a second to load and there are no ads on it :cool1:

I use Google because it loads fast, and it doesn't distract me as much as other pages. I really would rather have Facebook as my Homepage, but I know better than that....way too distracting!

I use igoogle also. LOVE it.

I love it!!

But.. since you don't.. maybe trying Bing or a news site?
