I know every family is different, but I'm curious on your FP plan at Hollywood Studios? We have a DS9 and DD5 and have lots of attractions on our list, but am not sure of best FP plan.

So far I'm thinking:

  • 10am - Toy Story Mania for both
  • ? Star Tours for DS9
  • ? - Studio Backlot Tour for both

After Toy Story Mania...perhaps try regular line for Grand Movie Ride (DS) and Little Mermaid (DD)

Other shows we want to see are:
- Great Movie Ride for DS
- Voyage of Little Mermaid for DD
- Beauty and the Beast for DD5
- Muppet Vision for both
- Indiana Jones stunt show for both

Which ones do you FP and the timings? And let me know if anyone has any suggestions of above. I find it hard to plan based on two different kids and trying to keep separate attractions at least near each other.

This plan sounds good, but I don't see needing a FP for the backlot tour. Not sure what to replace it with on your list tho.

We are arriving in about a week, with our DD4 and DS9.

Our son is crazy about Star Wars so we got one FP+ for Star Tours first thing. We might not need it that early, but TOT is not on our list, and DD is too small for RnR coaster. We are also hoping to get there at rope drop so we can get him a spot in the Jedi Training Academy.

Our second FP+ is for Toy Story at 11:00, and then we picked the Great Movie Ride for 12:15. After watching a brief video of Fastasmic, I would LOVE to get into one of those shows (preferably 9PM since our DD is so young) and have contemplated trying to get 4th FP+ for that show once we have completed the first three. We tend to leave the park for a break in the afternoon, so if we can get done the first three, and pick up a fourth FP+ for F!, we are wondering if that is a good plan.

We are hoping to hit some character meet & greets during the day too, as well as hit Muppetvision, and Backlot or Indy if there is time.

I would not use FP for Backlog Tour, the wait is never above 15 minutes. Just be sure to get there before 5 so you can see the people working in the costume and props departments.

Thanks for the note about Backlot Tour. We will skip FP for that one then (or n/a if you can't even get one) There's something to be said for not having every ride on a schedule. I was watching the wait times the other day and was seeing times of 20 minutes so guess that is why I had noted it.

What is TOT?

My kids too are too young for the Rock Rollercoaster (well, maybe my DS but he doesn't like going upside down)

My son is not into Star Wars but I think he might still like those attractions.

I'm wondering how you got a FP for both Toy Story and Great Movie ride as they are both Tier 1 (or did you select them before the change so it still holds)?
