What's your favorite thing to do in "The World?"

I could give you so many possible answers! I'll just put one....I love that feeling when I am just walking into the park. It can be any of the parks. There's just something that gets me all excited about the adventure that is in store for us that day.

My favorite thing is to forget about work, bills and responsibilities and become a kid again.

Spend time with my family!!!!! Sad, I know, but WDW makes it so easy to enjoy each other.

Similar feelings here. It's not so much the specific activity as it is the mutual experience of enjoyment that is felt.

  • The smile and laughter from DD when riding Splash Mountain (for the 3rd straight time on a chilly December evening)
  • The scream from an adult DS on his first experience of Tower of Terror
  • The surprising ambiance of Sci-Fi Dine In when another adult DS decided we should eat there on the spur of the moment

We reflect on these moments afterward and it draws us closer. hard to tell what might happen next visit but because it will be with family it will be loved ones, whatever it is, it will be our favorite thing to do.

I love driving under the welcome sign, getting my first look at the resort, hearing the MK monorail recording, walking down Main Street for my first castle sighting, and going to bed the first night knowing that the whole trip is ahead of me.

But one absolute favorite moment?

The very beginning of the Peter Pan ride ... the part where you look down and see Nana... is sheer bliss.

My favorite thing would have to be watching wishes with someone special

since I prolly won't be alone there I'll throw out a fun one nobody else will ever say... stand by the exit from the treehouse and watch the camels by the magic carpets spray the crowd with water (watch out, they spit) and nail people in the face as they exit the treehouse. we probably spent an hour there one day including eating a snack from the food cart right there.

It all starts when we get off the plane and unzip the bottoms of our pants so we are wearing shorts (we usually go in the winter) and smell the fresh warm air of the Orlando airport. BUT the first step into the Magic Kingdom (we always start there) and seeing the castle at the end of Main Street is when I get my energy! Then I can go all day! I love the kids rides (Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear, ect). I can't wait....1 month and 1 week until we are THERE! I pray that the hurricanes stay away and we can handle the heat. It is hot and humid here in Wisconsin so we should be ok if we take it slow and take breaks...no crazy non stop Disney this trip!

Hey there! I'm from Wisconsin too. Milwaukee, here. How about you?

I've been enjoying this thread thus far and now's as good a time as any to say my favorite thing to do at Disney.. someone's mentioned it already, but it's riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority! I love that!

I must say though, there's no better sight than that Castle when you first get there! We always start at MK first too!

Wow, that is a toughie! There are so many things at WDW that I look forward to doing with such anticipation. One thing I really love doing (though it is seasonal) is wandering the World Showcase during the Holidays and listening to the Epcot Holiday Storytellers :santa: . I remember how lovely it was to sit with my DH near the maze/gardens behind the UK and listen to larger than life Father Christmas tell us about the origins of some of the many Christmas traditions we have, or the laughs we had while watching the antics of the Monkey King in China and the wacky Julenissen in Norway. So relaxing and fun.

My favorite is relaxing on one of the beachy areas in Typhoon Lagoon, listening to the waves crash. A second close is floating in the lazy river for hours... :cloud9:

I love doing the child swap! Last time we got two really great kids in exchange for our old ones.

I loved watching Fantasmic! It seemed like every moment was better than the moment before, and just when I thought it couldn't be more fun, they REALLY pulled out the stops. Wow, I wasn't planning on going to MGM this trip, but now I think I will have to, just to see the show! :rotfl:

These have been so much fun to read-makes me even more excited for our first trip!! (In ~100 days LOL!)

I went many moons ago when I was in high school (1991), but we did MK, MGM and Epcot all in one day-it was crazy! I don't remember too much from that trip, but one thing I do remember was an awesome corn dog I had the the MK LOL! (No idea where though...)

As soon as I get at my resort I get so excited. I love that feeling and knowing that I'm home again. The magic starts right away for me.

I have two favorites! My first is walking around the World Showcase. It's my favorite part of Disney World, it's really gorgeous back there. I know it's not "real culture", but until I can get out there to these actual countries it'll have to do! I love meeting and talking to the CMs from around the world, getting snacks from the counter service restaurants, shopping and buying one souvenir from each country, seeing the shows and attractions, and just taking in the atmosphere. I love it!

My second favorite is spending time at the Polynesian, my absolute favorite resort. I love to walk around and explore the resort before hanging out and relaxing by the fountain and garden in the lobby, just listening to the water and smelling the coconut and tropical flowers. Then we usually go for dinner at the Kona Cafe, one of my favorite Disney restaurants!, before sitting in the upstairs lounge and listening to the performers play the guitar and sing classes Jimmy Buffett and Eagles songs. Then we head out to the beach and pull up some lounge chairs and settle in for the night, watching the small waves crash on the beach and listening to the soft caribbean music before watching the Electric Water Pageant and Wishes! Now THAT'S magic!!

 WOW!!!

How in the world did you manage 3 parks in one day!!! You've must have been totally wiped out afterwards.

It usually takes me 2 or 3 days just to do 1 park.
